Two aura enchantment questions

Just finished a game of draft Wilds of Eldraine in MTGA, a set I'm not too familiar with, and had two unexpected interactions that I wanted to ask about, both having to do with Aura Enchantments.

  1. An opponent cast [[Bitter Chill]] on my [[Faunsbane Troll]]. Why couldn't I use the troll's ability to sac the aura for a benefit?

  2. I used [[Eriette's Tempting Apple]] to gain control of an opponent's creature that had [[Curiosity]] attached to it. When it dealt damage to the opponent, why didn't I draw a card?

Thanks!

Sun-blessed cleric and Mockingbird

If [[Sun-blessed Cleric]] targets a [[Mockingbird]] in the graveyard, can that Mockingbird use its ability, or does it just enter as a 1/1 Bird Bard? If it does use its ability, is it restricted to X<=1 (since that would make the CMC required by the Cleric 2 or less), or can it be any value?

Combat damage and triggers timing

Easy question inspired by a recent MTGA game. Say I am at 1 life. I have a creature with lifelink on the board as well as a [[Midnight Reaper]]. If I attack with the lifelinker and the opponent blocks it such that the lifelinker dies, what happens?

  1. I can choose whether to resolve the life gain or the life loss trigger first (presumably choosing to gain life first in order to avoid a loss due to state-based effects)

  2. Both triggers happen simultaneously, and the game continues.

  3. Something else?

As it actually happened, I didn't notice the opponent had an available blocker with first strike, so I did in fact lose, and the better player won — but it made me realize that I wasn't entirely confident in what *should* have happened without factoring in first strike.

Appearance of Nicolas Scratch earlier than the final episode

I recently rewatched this show for the first time since it aired -- and watching it all in one go was incredibly satisfying. I also realized something that I haven't seen mentioned in reviews or fan discussions. In the Ouiji Board episode, Teen reads the name "Nicolas Scratch" on the board. Everything about the Witch's Road is created by him out of his subconscious, but there's no way that he would know that name. Ergo, the ghost of Agatha's som must actually be with them on the trial. I thought that was a cool detail.

What order should I play it in?

I have a copy of OG FFVII for PlayStation 1 that I am playing on my uncle's vintage CRT. I was wondering, should I start with the first disc or can I do them in any order? My friend said that you fight Sephiroth on Disc 3 which sounds EPIC so I'm thinking of starting there.
