50k in a 529 plan, not sure how to proceed

I have a little over 50k in a 529 plan, didn't find out about it till I was done with school. Don't plan on continuing education, certainly not $50k worth.

I can roll up to 35k into my Roth penalty free, however this is subject to the maximum annual Roth contributions.

I can also simply withdraw the money for a 10% penalty + income tax. If I went this route I'd beef up my emergency fund to closer to 12 months, max my Roth for the year, and dump the rest into VTI in my taxable brokerage.

Any thoughts on how to proceed?
