[Online][Other][UTC-7 (Pacific)] Looking for an extra player or two for a solarpunk treasure hunt adventure
Some soon-to-be-friends are looking to run a campaign of Fully Automated! it's a 5e-adjacent indie game set in a grounded post-capitalist future.
Style of play:
Pretty traditional. A questgiver asks a team of adventurers to find something of value; they encounter danger and have to use their diverse skills cooperatively to solve a mystery. You know.
Tone:
Flexible. Like most games of DnD or Cyberpunk, you can play it mostly silly or mostly serious, and the table will likely have a bit of both. The default tone of the story is grounded without being too self-serious.
The table is mostly folks brought together by interest in the game setting. The solarpunk adventure genre is a little unfamiliar to most, but not too hard to get into. Think Star Trek adventures on a planet of hippies, libertarians, and hackers. If that sounds interesting then this game is likely for you.
Basic hook:
Sixty years after WWIII, a broker for a company that converts rare toxic wastes into safe building materials finds evidence of an illegal toxic waste dump site in the hills of New Hampshire. It'll take a cunning team of adventurers to find this cache in the hills and villages that remain of a town left behind by a new era.
There's lots of flexibility for folks to make interesting characters (investigators, fast-talkers, hackers, druids, cyborgs, rangers, housepets, etc.). Welcoming to all. Let me know if you have any questions.
Quick disclaimer: I'm one of the devs for this very small game, posting on behalf of a friend looking to run a story he wrote.
