Are 20ga wires ok for GPU plugs?

I'm making three 8-pin custom cables for my 9070xt. Halfway through I realize I am using 20ga wires. 18ga is recommended.

Google says 20ga can support 5 amps. An 8-pin PSU cable uses three +12v wires and the rest are ground. 12x5=60w each wire x 3 = 180 watts. 8-pin plugs are rated for 150 watts.

Am I safe or do I need to re-buy parts and remake the two cables I have finished?

I bought this pump used 10 years ago. So is it simply time for a new one? Googling around maybe I have a chance by opening it up and seeing if there's anything wrong maybe?
