I was blessed with a baby girl a month ago and I feel really lucky to have her. At the same time i am finding the newborn phase much harder than I expected.

Right now our days seem to revolve entirely around feeding her, changing her, bathing her, and trying to get her to sleep. I dont feel like I am getting much quality time with her beyond meeting her basic needs.

She also seems very sensitive. The moment she is uncomfortable in any way she cries intensely, and its heartbreaking to watch. Sometimes it feels like we are doing something wrong. I have been around a few other babies and they didnt seem this sensitive.

Did anyone else have a baby like this? Did things get better as they got older?

My husband and I love traveling and we would love to start taking her places after her initial vaccinations. But with the amount of crying right now it feels hard to imagine. For parents who had very sensitive newborns, did travel and outings become easier with time?

Would love to hear your experiences and any advice.
