Do you think my dog is cute?

Do you think my dog is cute?

This is Archie. He’s a year and a half old and I just realized today that I’ve never had a stranger comment on him.

My old dog was a small white fluffy guy and people would stop their cars to tell me how adorable he was. We recently went camping and we walked him all around the campground and I don’t think anyone really even noticed him but another camper had a dog and people were stopping them to ooh and ahh over her.

So being honest, is Archie cute? Ugly? Boring? I think he’s an interesting looking dog that crosses over to cute.

Super easy but fun?

I’m looking for a very easy dinner that is kind of fun? By fun I just mean something a little different like vacation or party foods.

I’m off work all week and we just got back from a camp trip. We are still riding that vacation/camping high and the thought of making one of our usual dinners is such a bummer.

Family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teens, and a 10yo). Any ideas?

Update on period food craving daughter

She wanted to start her period early this month because we are going camping and swimming next week.

She really does text me like this all the time. I love it. She’s the best. ❤️

4 am texts from daughter

I normally wake up at 4 am for work so sometimes my 15 year old daughter will send me a timed text if she needs to tell me something. She must have forgot that I have the day off today because this is what I woke up to at 4:10 am. 😒😂❤️

(We are both about to start our periods).

*edit* She did not send these texts at 4 in the morning. They are timed/scheduled texts. I go to bed earlier than she does because I have to get up so early for work. So she sends these texts the night before to be delivered when I’m getting up for work.

Unlikeable main characters

I really enjoy unlikeable main characters! Any recommendations?

Books I’ve read with them (off the top of my head):

Yesteryear
Gone With the Wind
Gone Girl
You
The Girl on the Train
Wideacre trilogy

What would you do differently

I’m trying my hand at a planted tank…again. I’ve had varying degrees of success in the past.

I’m probably going to pull out the last couple of bright, fake plants. My kids just like the colors. Same for the pink glowy balls.

I’ll likely also be removing the frogbit because I don’t like it as much as I thought and replacing with salvinia. The other floating stuff was a free gift in a plant order. I don’t want to change the substrate (sand). The only things planted in it are vallisneria and one tiny little sag.

I just don’t love it. It’s very newly planted (like 2 days ago) so I know it needs time to grow out and get better.

I’m looking for any books set in Alaska. Preferably remote or small towns. I don’t really care what genre but would probably prefer fiction.

Please do not recommend The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. I absolutely HATED that book.
