Context: she knows me since feb 2026 that I exist. Bhut kaam baat hui hai. I don’t think she knows I like her (that’s what the purpose of this letter); I don’t think she likes me.
Today, on my way back from my Articleship, a champ selling socks approaches me to buy a pair of socks. I refused yo buy it as I didn’t needed it. But then he said “please take one pair so that I can buy aata for today.”
And it touched me or what idk. I asked him is it okay if I make you buy 1KG aata? And he said yeah. So I took him on my scooty to the nearest shop and while we were going, he said “bhaiya mujhe gira mat dena” 😭😭.
I asked him why you working like selling socks?
He said we are from Rajasthan and earlier my father used to earn and bring money at home, but now he got into alcohol and my mother said, “your father will not bring money to home, so you need to work.”
And it just broke me bro! Like we say our life is harder than anyone else, but there are people who literally struggle to even make a meal.
He has 2 younger brothers and a elder sister. One brother studying in Rajasthan and one he has to get him into school. Elder sister is studying in school. His mother also work to make the living.
And I used to think I am earning cashback stipend. I am literally earning a family’s monthly income. No matter what, I should be grateful to what I have. I am privileged to have what I have.
I bought him 5KG aata. And being a a&&hole I forgot to make him buy some daal 😭😭😭
But next time if I meet him, I’ll make him buy a variety 🥹
He made my day. 🥹
