Seems to go away when the engine gets to operating temperature

I noticed that there is some nice new chrome under these black tape window trims. I prefer the chrome look over the tape and the tape out already peeling of some places.

Are there any suggestions on to how to remove the trim tape without damaging the chrome and surrounding paint? What is the purpose of the tape anyways?

Ich habe eine KR51/1 Bj74 neu aufgesetzt und unter anderem die Elektrik komplett ersetzt. Verbaut ist eine 6V unterbrecher Zündung. Alle Funktionen sind gegeben bis auf drei Sachen: Tacho Beleuchtung, Rücklicht und das Frontlicht in Zündschloss Stellung 2 mit Ablendschalter nach unten.

Ich habe alles auf Durchgang gemessen: Die Kabel, das Zündschloss in allen Stellungen, die ladeanlage, der Ablendschalter. Die Verbindung zur Masse scheint auch gut zu sein. Die Glühbirnen sind auch korrekt gewählt und technisch einwandfrei. Es liegen 4,8v AC im Leerlauf beim Ausgang der ladeanlage, Klemme 58 zu Motormasse, Klemme 59 zu Motormasse, Lampenfassung Rücklicht. Die Messungen wurden ohne Glühbirnen durchgeführt.

Mir ist aufgefallen das die Tachobeleuchtung schwach leuchtet sobald ich die Rücklicht Birne ausdrehe. Siehe Bild.

Ich weiß nicht ob ich kurz vorm Durchbruch bin oder ob man noch mehr Infos benötigt um das Problem zu lösen aber ich weiß nicht mehr weiter. Alle Lösungsvorschläge sind erwünscht! Danke schonmal.

I am thinking of driving of driving this 1992 245 about 3000km in about 16 days. The following preperations have been made allready:

A thorough inspection of the wheels, brakes and structure

Engine, Transmission, Differential, Steering and Brake fluids have been flushed, fuel filter and engine oil filter

Ignition Oberhaul: Sparkplugs, Distributor and cap, coil, power stage, crankshaft position sensor

Inspection of the Belts

I plan of taking these spare parts with me: Toolbox, car jack, spare tire, hoses for fuel and vacuum, power stage, coil, fuel relais, fuses, main fuel pump

Any suggestions or anything I might have missed are welcome!
