I’m currently exploring IT opportunities in Dubai/UAE and wanted to get some honest insights from people who are already working in the UAE tech industry.
How is the IT job market in Dubai/UAE currently, especially for software developers?
Are companies actively hiring for roles such as:
• Full Stack Developer
• Backend Developer
• Node.js / React Developer
• Software Engineer
I have around 3 years of professional software development experience and mainly work with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and related technologies.
I’d really appreciate it if anyone working in the UAE could share their experience:
- Is hiring currently active for software developers?
- How difficult is it to get interviews without prior UAE experience?
- Is being physically present in Dubai important for getting shortlisted?
- Are companies currently sponsoring visas for overseas candidates?
- Which platforms or recruitment agencies are actually useful for IT jobs in the UAE?
