success with long-term relapse

Hi Everyone,

Firstly, I empathize with all of you, I personally know how traumatic it is. My uncle (56) was diagnosed with Lymphoma sometime in 2022, he underwent chemo & it went into remission.

Unfortunately, early this month he experienced symptoms of sleeplessness, night sweats, itching & tiny tumors around armpits & lower abdomen. The doctor says the cancer relapsed. Tests were taken & treatment will be finalized in a few days.

I have not spoken to him as I just got to know from my parents(he intends to keep this things private & I respect that). I would like to know what is the likely response for this kinda relapse? I know this very much depends on the kind of cancer/treatment options but would like to have generic perspective from you people.

As per my parents,he is a bit scared of undergoing another chemo as it had severe physical & psychological impact on him.

I wish you a happy, healthy life & thanks in advance.

SBI shitshow

I don't live in India & the last time I visited here was in January, 2024. I know I had to keep my Indian mobile number recharged but somehow forgot, was deactivated & handed over to another customer in another state.

I went to a nearby SBI branch in Karnataka to update my mobile number, I was told to visit the home branch. I went there on Monday, gave Aadhar card + pan card & submitted a form requesting the mobile number change. I was told to submit the form with a copy of the passbook (I didn't have one) & a pass photo (why passphoto is beyond my understanding). I didn't have a passbook with me, so I resubmitted the form by ticking another box to reissue a duplicate passbook.

Subsequently, I was sent to 5 different counters (repeatedly) in the span of 5 hours to get this update done. I honestly thought that was the end but it was not the case. They f**king locked by Internet banking out of the blue. Initially, I was told that when the mobile number is changed, the system locks the account for 24 hours & then I will be able to use it. But, that's BS as the portal never allowed me to login, when I called customer care I was told I must visit the home branch again (this is another horror).

I lost patience, searched for the debit card, and withdrew all the money from the nearby ATM (at least the mobile number update helped me to set the PIN). I would never step inside this shitty bank again, I really don't care what happens to this account. I have huge respect for their customers & mountains of patience.

On the other hand, HDFC NetBanking was so smooth, detailed documentation & damn easy to use. It was my mistake to rely on SBI. If you lose your mobile number, it will be miserable. You will spend days sorting up banking.

Brutal climb

I haven't done this but found it in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden in Germany. I was hiking & found this sign, couldn't resist myself from taking this picture.

I have done up to 20% but 26% is brutal. How hard could this be?

Was haltet ihr davon?

Bachelor in Elektronik-Ingenieurwesen.
