This Celebrini highlight video is probably the most satisfying hockey video I have ever seen. He is so effective. And so efficient. It's just 25 minute barrage of doing the most effective hockey play in every situation.
this dude is an absolute gamer, it's nuts.
Hey team! My Grandmother is turning 100 this weekend, and has requested to ride on the back of a motorcycle to celebrate. I have concerns... But am also optimistic. Looking for any advice.
My Gran is the most wonderful person I know. Nothing is off the table for her 100th birthday! But she has hit the family with a bit of a curveball request, to go for a little cruise on a motorcycle. And she isn't joking.
I have my motorcycle license, and once upon a time was a pretty accomplished rider doing many west coast mountain trips etc. But it's been 10 years since I sold my bike and I have only rode sporadically in the last few years. I have done maybe extended trips with passengers as well. I am 35 years old and physically fit, so beyond just getting a feel for whatever rental bike we get, I am confident with safely taking her.
She is obviously quite old, and in spite for her stubborn independence, she will likely struggle even with the weight of a helmet, let alone trying to hold on. She wouldn't complain but I worry about her neck, also her back from bumps on the rode, but she is definitely strong enough to engage her core!
Is a side car bike really the only safe option? Are those commonly available to rent? Is maybe a Goldwing with a decked out rear seat the play? Are those fairly easy to drive if I spent the morning getting a feel for it?
She isn't expecting a long ride, and the physicality of it, especially supporting a helmet, means this will have to be a quick ride. But I am down to prep all week even if the ride itself is only a few minutes.
She is hard of hearing, so any communication once she is on the bike and we're moving would be impossible through helmets, even at a stop, so everything would need to be discussed and the route planned before we go. Also her vision is not great, so this will be mainly for the feel I guess from her perspective, so maybe an open face helmet to let her feel the wind is the play.
A lot of family will be in attendance so maybe just doing this in a large mall parking lot or something would simplify a lot of it, but that does seem a little lack luster.
The hope is to figure this out by Sunday, and really any budget for the rental is fine. We're in Toronto Ontario.
Thank you thank you for any tips! This post was rushed on my lunch break so apologies for a lack of cohesiveness. Cheers.
At 34 years old, Taylor Hall will play his 1000th game this season. He's won a Hart Trophy, and now the Stanley Cup (with a point per game during the playoff run). How close or how far do you think he is ftom Hall of Fame consideration?
How much more does he need?
A long career into his late 30s with 1000 plus points and another major trophy like a second cup?
Or has his career up to this point simply not been enough regardless, and the discussion just isn't really there?
With 1220 points in 11 seasons, McDavid has averaged 110 points a season. This includes his rookie year of 48 points in 45 games, a covid shortened season of only 56 games and two seasons with less than 70 games played.
Edit: The title of this post, the whole point of it, is not a post about "what if." This is not an "if x player was healthy and never missed games he'd have these stats".
This post is literally just his total career regular season points divided by his seasons played. That's it. It's not a what if. It's literally just his stats. It's showing how many points he already has, in spite of how many games he's missed. That is what is so impressive about it. It's not a "if Mcdavid didn't miss x games, he'd have these insane stats."
The body below is just a bonus stat, the "what if" and is not worth petty replies like "you can do this with any player". Yeah no shit.
End of edit.
Insane average considering how many games he didn't play throughout the 11 seasons. If you take his career PPG, 1.5, and apply it to a hypothetical healthy eleven 82 game seasons, he'd have 1385 points and an average of 125 points a season.
Post nerf phase 2 seems harder than pre nerf tbc classic phase 2 ...because we just carried a ton of really bad players through phase 1 without really knowing?
Our guild wiping over and over to the basic mechanics of KT has absolutely perplexed me. 75% of my guild has no situational awareness and put in zero effort to learn the fight: hunter's not aiming the bow away, locks being seemingly incapable of being 30+ yards while tanking, melee not moving away before the dudes gaze changes, guys not learning their dagger skills to do damage + break mc with legendary people seemingly not putting the use wep macro on their bars for staff, overall dps being terrible etc etc. This fight is not hard, and yet, we can't do it. Guild leadership had straight up no idea how bad our raid actually is due to how unbelievably easy phase 1 was. (context: we only formed in prepatch)
Expectations for Misa next season?
This year was a bit of a slow burn but certainly not a disappointing season. Is he eligible to once again hit the world juniors next season? Otherwise an uninterrupted injury-free season looks like what? 70gp and 40-45 points? Maybe 3-4 years from being a potential point per game guy on the second line?
