When you deliberately make mismatched socks
After someone had pointed out in a post that it'll never be 100% the same between one sock and the other, I decided to just MAKE them mismatched. I mean, why not?

I'm still fairly new to nålbinding and has only ever done work with NSW wool yarn. I have this beautiful yarn but it's superwash merino. I have no idea how to attach one length of yarn to the working wool.
What is the best way to attach yarn that isn't feltable?
So, I have someone scheduled with me for swelling in her "lower extremities". She's been diagnosed with heart problems (although she says her doctor tells her he does that for insurance coverage, not actually having heart issues).
She had a doctor's release faxed over for massage and specifically lymphatic drainage and is booked for lymphatic drainage.
To be fair, I'm just assuming that she's having blood related edema and not lymph edem. According to her paperwork, she's an older lady, in her 70's with a history of heart issues. Everything here screams "no to lymphatic drainage".
Is there a good way to do this? I feel hesitant to work on her at all but I worry that what she's booked for will be not as effective she's hoping for.

So, I bought a sprout last weekend thinking I could plant it sometime during the week.
Well, the lows here have been in the upper 30's and mid 40's.
I had been sitting them outside during the day and bringing them in at night.
Well, while I was bringing in another plant, my cat bit off all the leaves except one.
I saw on Google that without leaves, pepper sprouts will either die or become very stunted. Well, I'm bummed, and figured I would just throw it away and get another plant.
Well, I've been watching it, it doesn't seem droopy, even after being outside during 40 degree lows.
I'm moderately hopeful that it might be alright.
Do I bother trying to save it or should I just toss ot out and try a different plant?
Fellow plant growers! I would love some thoughts and advice.
So, I'm looking at 10 day forecast and trying to figure out if it's safe to plant my veggies yet.
The daytime temperatures look great but next week, I'm seeing lows in the 40's. I know the general rule is after mother's day, but this seems a bit chilly at night.

The title pretty much says it all. If you have small children say, 6 y/or or younger, (old enough to help with cleaning) who doesn't/can't or flat out won't help keeping the house clean, how do you clean your house and keep it clean?
After months of on and off trial and error, videos and books, and going through a ton of yarn, I finally succeeded in making a sock!
Each color I used to show each section of work so I can go back later and see what I did and when.
So, I've been attempting to make socks for a while and I've been using safety pin style stitch markers, but it doesn't seem to work as well as I would like. I'm used to knitting with stitch markers so the need to remove it and then replace it throws me off.
Is there a better stitch marker or a way to place stitch markers that I've not heard of?
