Hynix A-Die Safe temps on EXPO

Hi!

Recently got a higher voltage cl26 kit at 1.45v, current case airflow isn't the greatest since its small, and have read a lot of conflicting things on temps, some saying 55, 60, etc is the upper limit.

Currently don't have any plans to push it further, the expo timings have the trefi around 11k, which I read is the most sensitive part. Temps sit at around 60 ingame, and go upto 72-74 when stress testing memory.

Is that something to be worried about?

Losing my mind during my first time build

I knew it'd be difficult but this is such a compact build and nothing is working.

My cables are too stiff

My riser won't sit flush and is making the bottom panel impossible to close, even though it seems as flush as it can be.

Installing my radiator feels impossible

My cables are a mess.

I've unscrewed and rescrewed so many times

Ahhhh i just want it to be over. I do have some custom cables on the way which will cut my 24pin from 35 to 16cm and my cpu cable to 30, and I'm hoping they'll be enough to make the difference so my radiator fits nicely. Did anyone else's first build also go this rough? Calling it for the night and will attempt tomorrow but feeling really discouraged atm :(

Is it legal to beat up scammers

Just curious since every time I make a listing I get the usual 10 spam messages saying they'll etransfer me and someone will come to pick it up tomorrow.

If you agree to it, does anyone actually come to pick it up tomorrow? And can you legally beat the shit out of them? Or does the scam work by tricking you into clicking some fake link and they take your credentials? Never said yes to them but always have been curious how it worked.

First time making a pinout diagram, help with continuity test

Hi everyone!

Very recently got into this, and have been researching the past day or 2 on how to get my own pinout diagram made. I have a lesser known psu and I'd like to make my own shorter custom cables.

So far, here's what I think I need to do, if anyone can confirm that would be wonderful. First time doing this and using a multimeter so apologies if it sounds dumb.

Do I place one of the probes inside a known pin on the standardized motherboard side, where I know a 12v is, and then touch the PSU sides cable until I hear a beep? And if I do I plot it out on the diagram, and just test one by one? And after that, I put it inside another known 5v pin and test the psu side again one by one listening for a beep?

It sounds pretty straightforward but I'm afraid I'll mess something up, is there anything I should know or correct before I do it?

Custom cables for T1 with lesser known PSU

Hi,

Was looking to get some custom shorter cables so I'd have an easier building experience for when I do receive everything, and I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that makes cables for my specific PSU.

The PSU I ended up buying was the Super Flower Combat SFX FP 850W 80+ Platinum, not to be confused with the FG version which is rated a B instead of an A on the PSU tier list. This just happened to be the best affordable one that also had native 12v 2x6 support.

After doing some research, the names that come up the most when doing research are Ray and Cablester, which when contacted one said they are unsure since they don't have it, and the other still hasn't replied. Tried Cablemods and they don't support it either, and reached out to moddiy aswell recently but don't have too high hopes either.

If I'm not able to get custom cables, can others who've built with the stock cables length tell me how the cable management ended up turning out for them?

Thank you.

Underclocked 9850x3d vs Stock 9800x3d

Hi! Currently looking to choose between these 2 options. I heard that the 9850x3d is just a higher binned version of the 9800x3d, but I also hear it's a way lot hotter temperature wise. I'll be running this inside a small SFF case with a. 240mm AIO, so I was wondering if anyone with experience would know the best option for best thermals and performance balance:

A 9800x3d stock clocks with an undervolt. Or, a 9850x3d underclocked and undervolted. Technically it should require less power on the 9850x3d since they're the same chip just binned higher?

Thanks

No GPU system price

Saw this listed at 2400 CAD, or 1700 USD, overpriced or decently priced for a no gpu system? Not for flipping, but for using as own system and putting own gpu in later.

- 9800X3D

- 64GB DDR5 G.Skill Ripjaws S5 CL36

- 2TB NVMe Gen 4

- B650M A Pro WiFi

- SAMA GT850W PSU

- LIAN Li A3 mATX Case

- FrozenEdge 360mm AIO

Price check on no gpu system

Saw it listed for 2500 CAD, is this asking too much, especially for no gpu? What would you offer?

- 9800X3D

- 2TB NVMe Gen 4

- B650M A Pro WiFi

Thanks!

9800X3D VCore @5225mhz

I’m trying to compare my 9800X3D against other samples because my voltage seems unusually low. At stock clocks (~5225 MHz all-core effective), I’m stable overnight (8hrs) in multiple tests, CoreCycler, AIDA64 CPU and Cache, Y-Cruncher, and Prime95. I've been using the system for a few weeks and no crashes.

I’m curious what voltages others are seeing at similar stock clocks? And what other tests I could do? I don't really believe I have a crazy sample because this only happens at stock clocks, whenever I try +200 it starts requesting a lot more and that usually aligns with average results I read online.

VCore peaks at 1.112

VDDCR_VDD (SVI3 TFN) peaks at 1.105
