Edgar Alan Poe

Hi everyone! I recently picked up Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe, and I'm really excited to start it. This will be my first time reading Poe, so I'm going in completely blind. I know it's a posthumous collection, and it's a pretty chunky book too. For those who've read it, what did you think? Did you enjoy it? No spoilers, please—I'd love to go in with fresh eyes!

Magpie Murders - Anthony Horowitz

I read this recently and absolutely loved it!
A novel within a novel??? 2 whodunits in one book!! Bring it on!!!
Anyone read this?? I wanted to discuss and I have no one lol

What I read in June

June was a good month, I read a lot comparatively. I think it was because I read many Frieda books which are so easy to read lol.
But I hated all of these except Metamorphosis so idk🤷🏻‍♀️

The silent patient- Alex michaelides

I recently finished this and it pissed me off. I read it because of all the hype and it was so disappointing! Like did not make sense at all!
The main character which is supposed to be Alicia is not in the novel at all, and whenever she is there she is just crying about the heat and how she is obsessed with her husband. And don’t even get me started on Theo!
Why is it so hyped?
I know I am gonna get a lot of hate for this but this is just my POV. I read a lot of thrillers so.
