Is there a technique to get more of the paint flake to show?

The paint on this car specifically is very damaged from sitting for a couple years with bird poop on it, lead to a lot of etching.

This is the cleanest this car can possibly be without a respray, fresh from a 3 stage buff and polish.

The flake is just so hard to capture on camera, would playing more with the mid-tones help? Getting the reflections right for that flake is such a struggle, even with a CPL.

Any tips for getting the most out of paint that has a subtle flake that you want to accentuate?
