Industrial maintenance apprenticeship

I am looking to pursue a career in industrial maintenance. I am looking for a college that has an apprenticeship program where you can get hands on experience and go to class a couple days a week. This approach seems like the way to get into the trade. Anyone know some community colleges with this program?

Is there any community colleges that have a degree and apprenticeship program for industrial maintenance/millwright work?

Sport climbing grade vs moon board benchmarks?

What’s the hardest sport climb you have done outside? What’s the hardest moon board problem and grade on the 2016?

I’ve climbed some hard v4s like Divestment plan, Viva, Warm up #10, no foot and climbed 7B outside

Is power endurance/ endurance a real thing for sport climbing?

Is power endurance and endurance a real thing?
As long as you know how to rest, you don’t over grip and climb effectively you should be able to send the route. The person who is the strongest on each move should be able to send the route( Fingers, body tension and overall strength)

It’s like I’m gonna go lift weights, to get stronger you do sets of 5. There’s no power endurance in lifting. Whoever is the strongest will be able to do the most sets of 10 reps.

I feel like the answer to becoming a better sport climber is bouldering and moon boarding and learning the beta for your route. If your power is high, it all trickles down and makes each move easier even if you get a hard 20 move sequence.

Is this true?

How to get in?

I am a team member in a manufacturing factory right now in the south. I want to move out west and get into industrial maintenance. What company’s/colleges have apprenticeships? What’s the best way or how did you become an industrial maintenance technician?

First time investing!

I am 23 years old with 50k available to invest! I have an Emergency fund so I’m good on that aspect. I use E*Trade for my HYSA and made a brokerage account. I am thinking about buying VOO and VTI.

Good choice? Mainly looking to grow this money for a house in the next 10-15 years.

Tender A2 pulley

I went climbing outside last Sunday and Monday morning I woke up with a tender A2 pulley. I can’t feel any bowstringing and I can still crimp hard without any pain. I only get pain when I squeeze the tendon. In 1 week I am going on a sport climbing trip I’ve been training for. What should I do?

What would you do in my shoes?

I am a 23 year old male. I’ve been working in manufacturing for two years now in the south. I am making around 70K a year with overtime. I have a high cool diploma, which is my only education. I have experience being a chef, working retail and working outside - Landscaping and building cabins.
I don’t see myself working in manufacturing as a team member or leader past 25. I am looking to peruse more of a specialized job. I really struggled with high school and I did try! College would be really hard for me and not being able to make money for 4 years turns me off. I have thought about a 2 year degree but it seems kinda pointless. I am leaning into the trades and I could see myself being a tradesman. I want to move out west as soon as possible because I love the mountains, climbing and skiing.

I want a job that doesn’t work night shift and has set hours.

I’m thinking about quitting my job here in the south, move out west and get an electrician apprenticeship lined up. I don’t want to get an apprenticeship here in the south because i think it would be better to get my name out there where I actually wanna live. Would you do this? What are some good careers that let me work outside and always have a change of scenery? Got any career recommendations?

Money is not the purpose of my life. I want to be comfortable and healthy. 80-100k a year is plenty once I get into my path! I currently work swing shift at my current job.

How much do I need?

am 23.5 years old, I live at home rent free, no bills with a paid off Toyota at 183k miles. I have 52k in a HYSA, and 44K in my 401k. In a couple years I will have to buy a new car. I am looking to coast fire as soon as possible - Find a part time job with health benefits and maybe a 401k match but mainly part time work with benefits. I want to move out west to be able to climb mountains in a couple years, ideally at 25/26 years old. When I move out I will have bills like phone and car insurance. For housing I’m interested in living in my car sometimes, renting a house with people, or just working seasonal jobs out west that provide free housing. Ideally when I’m 35/40 years old I would like to be able to buy a house in cash which finding cheap housing until then would allow to me slowly add to my HYSA. In 2 years I think I can get 100k in my 401k and around 90K in my HYSA. I don’t have an education but am making good money with good benefits at my current job. If you were in my shoes how much money would you do this move with? I just wanna be able to ski, climb and hike while being able to work part time and not be broke and feel decently successful.
