The knights of Sovereign Tower
I've been fiending after this Round Table management sim for the last few days, and I just wanted to throw some praise in for the character designs here.
There's so much love for authentic medieval armor - both the functional and the flouncy parade stuff - that shows in the artist's intricate rendering and exaggeration of specific details, like Goberto's frogmouth helmet or Ursula's spiky couter. Unlike a lot of fantasy artists, you can tell they truly understand how and why the individual pieces of a suit moved and were held together.
At the same time, the designs themselves don't let themselves be restricted by the bounds of historical armor design, and the themes of individual knights veer from the familar to the absurd. A cute riff on the Green Knight and aforementioned frogmouth give way to a goth knight, a salaryman knight, a maid knight, and a knight who's literally just a walking cathedral. There's variation in not just the armor, but in the body language and facial structure (extra points for the ladies being weird too), but they all feel cohesive when you're rapid-scrolling through your lineup and figuring out who you're going to send to deal with an infestation of rowdy chickens.
