To everyone who uploads photos of restaurant menus to Google Maps: THANK YOU! 🙌

While restaurants are busy uploading aesthetic photos of a single piece of lettuce, you’re out here doing God’s work and showing us the actual menu and prices.

May your food always be hot, your bills always be reasonable, and your photos always be in focus. ❤️

Compensation/Remedy for Eviction Due to Structural/Safety Concerns?

For those who have received an eviction notice from developer/ authorities citing structural damage, safety concerns, or the need for major repairs/full rebuilding, what compensation or remedy did you receive?

For communities/buildings that required a complete rebuild, did they provide you with a villa or apartment free after rebuild?

What sort of legal protection you have for defending yourself from a thief in your house

Hi Cocos,

I wanted to ask about a situation that has happened to us.

A few nights ago, someone broke into our house while we were inside. The robber quietly went from room to room searching through the house. My mother began to feel that something wasn't right, so she went to check one of the rooms.

That's when she came face to face with the burglar.

She froze in fear, and the moment he saw her, he attacked. He grabbed at the gold chain around her neck and tried to rip it off. A loud struggle followed, and the noise woke me up. I had been asleep upstairs.

I rushed downstairs, terrified. Seeing my mother being attacked, I reacted instinctively. In the heat of the moment, I grabbed a glass jug and struck the intruder on the head. He fell down, and I kicked him several times in head and chest to stop him from getting back up and attacking us again.

My mother and I screamed for help, and our neighbors rushed over. The robber was bleeding, so we called the police immediately. He was taken to the hospital.

The next day, we were told that we might have to pay for his medical expenses and could even end up paying him compensation. We were shocked. He was the one who broke into our home and attacked my mother.

Now we've heard there may even be a criminal case against us for the injuries he sustained while we were defending ourselves.

What legal protections are available in situations like this? If someone breaks into your home and attacks you or a family member, can you legally defend yourself? At what point does self-defense become excessive force, and could we really be held liable for the injuries suffered by the robber?

Potential data leak for Samsung users?

As we all know, some websites don't support native autofill with Pass, so we have to manually copy and paste credentials from Pass into the login page.

I've noticed that whenever I paste something into a website on my Samsung phone, I get a toast notification saying that the Samsung Keyboard pasted content from my clipboard. The strange thing is that Samsung Keyboard is not my default keyboard, and I never use it.

If that's actually what's happening, wouldn't Samsung potentially have visibility into a large number of my aliases? At the very least, it could associate those aliases with the same device/user.

I couldn't find an option to disable clipboard ascess to samsung keyboard as its a system app.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior? Do you think this could be a privacy concern, or is there another explanation for why Samsung Keyboard is generating these clipboard notifications even when it's not the active keyboard?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for clarification on Dubai property rules. If a building is fully sold out to individual landlords, can those owners collectively take over property management? I’ve seen cases where big developers still manage buildings even after all units are sold. Are there legal hurdles that prevent owners from forming their own association or hiring new management? Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through this process or knows the ins and outs. Thanks!...........
