How can we punch up our opening night?

Hi All, we have a 5th year festival and we're gaining quite a bit of legitimacy and quality films. But we want to take our opening night to a bigger, more exciting level. Currently, we have a cocktail party, red carpet photos, screening, and Q&As.

What can we do to boost this kickoff? Are there any splashy gimmicks, props, activities, events, etc. that you we could incorporate to make it more exciting and memorable? We only have a modest budget. If you scroll to the bottom of our site, you can see the photos of what we currently do. Thanks so much! https://healdburgfilm.com

Hey Festivals, have you ever bought submission promotion on FestHome? Did it work?

Hello. Our festival has been on Film Freeway and is doing fine. But we are eagerly seeking Spanish-language short films, and it seems FestHome is the place to be for that. So we opened an account, but our page is idle. Have you ever paid for promotion on FestHome, and did it generate submissions? We aren't necessarily going for the submission fees; we just want to find super amazing Spanish-language shorts. What was your paid promotion like?

Help with Latino/Latina screening block name

Festival here. We are adding a new screening block of films made by Latino/Latina/Iberian Filmmakers. The films must be made by people with ties or roots in the Spanish language. (Portuguese will not be included). The films can be in English or Spanish.

What do we call this block in all of our marketing?

Thank you.

Where to find a dungeon in Northern California without the craziness?

Hey all.

In the 90’s I went to several dungeons in LA on an occasional basis, sometimes walk-in, sometimes with an appointment.  It was great. Then I met my wife, and we are 28 years into marital bliss. We are truly in love. However, my kink drive is stronger than ever, and hers has dwindled to almost nothing. So she encouraged me to start going to dungeons again. But she is not cool with me seeing a regular dom, due to jealousy reasons. And I feel I wouldn’t want to anyway.

So I went on Fetlife and did internet searches for dungeons in Northern California, but it’s super uncomfortable for me doing this because the search yields a flood of non-dungeon results like “Hot girls in your area” or “Be my permanent sub,” etc. But I’m not polyamorous or seeking a companion. I just need heavy bondage furniture and heavy gear.  How can I find these dungeons?  Is there a basic list somewhere that doesn’t think I’m aiming for a hookup? I mean, yes, I need a dominatrix, but it could be a different one for each session.

Thanks for your help.

Where are the amazing Spanish-language short films?

Hey All,

Our Northern California short film festival just opened up a Spanish-language block of shorts, so now we are eagerly curating. We have cash prizes and celebrity judges. We are getting a reputation as a filmmakers’ festival. But we are having a tough time finding good sources of Spanish-language short films.  Do you know of any films or sources that match these criteria?

• 20 minutes or less (the shorter the better)

• Not on public YouTube. Vimeo is ok.

• Produced 2024-2026

• Award-winning, or officially selected in a 10+ year festival.

We offer a complete free fee waiver.

This is our festival:
