What can I do? Neighbor built their fence too close to ours and there are mulberry trees between

I've been struggling to kill them for a couple years now, but I'm really sick of the eyesore. What can I do at this point? Is there a way to get any of the fence down to fix this without having to hire help?

Edit some details: I'm confident I can kill the trees. I don't want ugly dead 4ft stumps for the next 50 years. 😭 I'm trying to build a beautiful garden in the back yard.

Also, the privacy fence doesn't enclose their yard. It stops at a small retaining wall about 3ft tall which would not be enough to keep my dog in.

My fence faces outward so I can't unhook and pull the chains toward me to get around

If anyone comes back to this post later: This video demonstrates how I think I'll be approaching the fence issue:

Rotted Screened Porch Repair Recommendations?

Is there anyone you'd recommend for repairing rotted wood on a screened porch? Thanks!

Are these shutters the wrong color? How would you add color to our cookie cutter house?

I ordered some shutters online but I don't think the color is working. The yellow bushes will grow in the back and I'll be adding 2 weeping redbuds which are purple and a lot of pink, purple, yellow and white flowers around the year. There's a second two car garage off the the left which is another big white door.

Any color/design suggestions would be appreciated!

Is this something we can DIY?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I tried to replace a light. Now the light won't turn off from the switch. I'm so confused!

If I'm understanding correctly, the red is the ground? The back goes to black and the white goes to white. The light will turn on with this configuration but then it just stays on. The switch didn't have any issues until I tried to replace the light. I also have an extra cap (I think?) which I'm not sure where it came from. Is the ground put in incorrectly or is there something else I'm doing wrong. I tried switching around the black and white just in case it was colored wrong in the house. I have no business wiring anything.

Thank you!!

THE LIGHT IS WORKING NOW! :D
Thanks to everyone who commented. Feel free to roast me as I am shockingly unroasted from my mucking around in the wires. The light works now. I had to cap the black wire and then attach red to black, white to white.

I did use an electrical tester before touching anything, but I agree 100%, I have no business here. An electrician would have cost $100+ and the whole thing is a jerry rigged mess from the start. I'll leave my post because some of the comments are funny as heck.

Any suggestions for dressing up the outside of my home?

I'd love to get your thoughts! I'm at a bit of a loss for what could change.

Latex Paint Soft and Tacky After A Week -- What Now?

I painted my bathroom using Valspar Signature interior semigloss paint. Based on the directions on the can, it said it could be used as a primer so that's what I did. I did a single coat, waited overnight and did a second coat. It's been over a week with the fan running and not using the shower but the paint is still soft and tacky enough I can scratch it with my fingernails. It's hot and dry as heck outside so I don't think it's too humid. Why is this? What do I do now? I'd like to use my shower again.

Thank you very much for you time!

What can I do to help this pear tree? -- Intense rain and flooding right at transplant

Beyond the flooding, I'm worried I used too much compost mixed with the native soil. Any guidance for an absolute beginner?

Would I be stupid to drill into this porch support to hang a light curtain rod?

I'm worried about damaging the waterproofing and causing it to break down. There's a thin layer of metal over the beam. I'm assuming there's wood inside.

Am I Cooked? 😭 Two Plum Trees, Rabbit Damage and Disease?

I've got two small starts of plum trees. One was very small and got the top chomped off by a bunny. I thought it was toast for sure but now there are small buds.

The second is looking rough. Is this unrecoverable?

I'm happy to give them both time if needed, I'm deciding if I should cull them and save the water.

Thank you!!

This... Isn't a papaya as I know them. What do I do with this guy? It never ripened yellow just started getting soft and green.

Please recommend me books with main or major characters who deal with chronic pain, illness, or disability.

Some examples I've loved were the Vorkosigan saga books, The First Law trilogy, and Vicious/Vengeful.

Thank you to anyone who responds!
