Inherited stamp collection

My 94 yo dad passed away in February. He told me about the stamps he’d collected as a young boy. Today my mom gave them to me. I have no idea if they are just common stamps or if any of them have any value.

There are a LOT of pages in this book, some are filled, some partially filled and others have just a few stamps. So I’m just posting a few pictures as examples of what it includes. I’m sure some of you own, or have seen this very book so I’m hoping someone can point out any valuable ones that the book ‘might’ contain so that I can see if he has it.

What grass/weed is this? We live in central Indiana.

We live in central Indiana. My lawn is 2 years old (new construction) and today I noticed this ‘grass’ or ‘weed’. The seed I used was ‘ExecuTurf-Tuff Turf’ which is a good quality seed. I’ve used this seed on my last 2 lawns and it’s beautiful. My fear is that it’s one of those invasive species that eventually take over…

Questions:

What is it?
How do I kill it?

Thanks!
