Best "Bang for the buck" investment into DAWless setup? (Sampling oriented)

Hey there!

So, for a bit of context - my current setup is two samplers, an MPC 1000 and an SP-303. I've already been looking into JJOS and am pretty happy with these two instruments, though I'm wondering if there's anything I can add. Budget is probably gonna be around £400 at the absolute max, though I'm hoping there's something I can do with that cash that would be a good investment into what I'm currently doing.

I was think the Chroma Console, but I wanted to field some other answers, see if anyone else had a recommendation! :)

Ended up stripping a JST connector, any ideas on if this can be fixed by someone?

Recently attempted to repair an MPC 1000, I ended up making some soldering mistakes with attaching new switches, however I've got replacements and I'm planning on heading into an electronics shop in the morning to see if I can get someone with a more skilled hand to look at them. Unfortunately I ended up stripping this JST connector from the board in it's entirety (Don't ask me how). I'm not sure what type of JST it is, nor am I sure if it can be fixed. Anyone able to provide some clarity on this?

Anyone else having trouble connecting the Sidekick as a USB interface?

Just got my hands on the sidekick today and have been trying to get it to communicate with my PC. I feel like I'm having a really hard time discerning any information past adjusting the settings for USB audio, I don't know if it's a cable issue but I can't see it at all in any DAW I'm using. Otherwise it's absolutely fine but I really am having a hard time finding any information on the Sidekick as a USB audio interface as it was advertised, it's kinda why I bought it so I'm not really sure where I'm going wrong here.
