Test line darker on diluted test

I tested yesterday morning and got a strong positive, with the test line darker than the control line. Tested again this morning and it was still a strong positive, but the test line and control line were equally dark. Then I tested again (insane behavior, I know)—first one without diluting, second one slightly diluted, and third one about 50/50 diluted—test line got progressively darker with each dilution. I already started going crazy and got blood drawn and scheduled another one for 48 hours later, but I’m still a little unsure of what to make of getting darker lines with more diluted tests. I thought that's supposed to be a good sign, but I’m only 4w5d, so I’m not really finding it reassuring. I’m concerned it's a molar pregnancy, but maybe it's just that I have really high hCG levels? Anyone have a similar experience?

Hook effect already? 19 dpo

I’ve had a stressful morning in which I thought tests were getting lighter—yesterday I had a pretty diluted FMU (because I got up to pee several times overnight, lol), then had a really dehydrated FMU today and the control line was darker than the test line again, which made me start to spiral. Next time
I had to pee (which is like every 45 minutes LMAO), I tested, then diluted the sample with water and tested again and I’m back to a dye stealer (maybe a little less than yesterday, though?). I’m going to stop testing tomorrow regardless, because obviously I’m going crazy, but I thought this was too early for the hook effect to start? I could maybe be 20dpo, but not more than that.

Overexertion and NTDs?

I’m in week 5 of my pregnancy and beginning to stress out over what can increase the likelihood of neural tube defects. In the same day, I went to a barre class where I got extremely sweaty (never got my heart rate above 128, though) and a concert where I got extremely sweaty while dancing. These are both things that I did frequently before getting pregnant. In neither case did I feel dizzy or nauseous, although my cheeks did briefly feel a little flushed. At the show, there was some pushing and shoving and stage diving (which I got out of the way of once I decided it was too much for me), but I’m not really worried about any physical risks to the embryo at this point, since I know it’s still protected by my body. What really is keeping me up is if feeling overheated—being drenched in sweat in a small, hot venue or barre studio, but otherwise feeling fine—is likely to have increased my core body temperature enough to increase the likelihood of neural tube defects. Thanks!
