The product we couldn't find, so we're building it.
We're a small team — engineers and product managers, and homeowners. The friction that started this was a garage. The remote was hidden in the car's center console — never where you needed it in the moment. The app worked half the time, lagged when it did, and made you fish a phone out of jeans or a handbag mid-turn into the driveway — exactly when you shouldn't be. Four to six times a day. Every day.
Then one of us got an EV — a Chevy Equinox. The first time the car unlocked just because the key was in a pocket — no button, no app — we couldn't unsee it. Why doesn't the garage work like this?
The deeper we went, the clearer it got that gates have it worse, and the same mechanism solves both. So we're building it: a small Tag in your car, a Hub wired into your existing opener, and a gate or garage that just opens because you're home.
