Can an iTalki tutor see the other tutors of a student? And when the student takes lesson with them?

I'm kind of confused. I have two iTalki informal (= not professional) tutors for a language since more than five weeks, and took lessons with both tutors basically every day until now (since it's summer break and I have time before college starts again). I kind of assumed until now that they knew I had another tutor. I do conversation practive the whole time since it's what I need.

Well today I joked with one tutor that the conversation topics with her and the other tutors are completely different.

She was completely surprised and immediately asked me how often I take lessons with the other tutor, where she is from, etc. Like she was polite and it wasn't a big deal, but it was obvious she was surprised. Apparently she thought until now that I only take daily lessons with her.

Can't tutors see how often and with who I take lesson? The other tutor leaves a feedback after every lesson, don't those feedbacks appear on a student profile, similarly to how a student review appears on a tutor's profile and is publicly visible?

How often do you click on a post on r/Switzerland if its title is in a Swiss language that you don't understand (but could translate)?

Somehow I had this question pop up on my mind. Currently on this sub there are several active posts in German and French on the sub front page with many replies in English.

Since there are regularly posts in German, French and Italian, aside of the English posts, I do wonder how often it happens that you see a post in German/French/Italian, but you don't understand it. Do you usually still click on the post, translate the title and participate in the comments in English, or do you ignore those posts alltogether?

I do wonder if there is a trend difference between expats/immigrants and local Swiss (i.e. Swiss-French/German/Italian who learned German/Italian/French in school but forgot due to lack of use)

EDIT: on a side note, I wonder how many other subreddits there are on Reddit where it's common to see posts in four different languages (English, German, French, Italian) with its users interacting together in English on those posts regardless of the post title language. It's so fun to see a post in German/French and everyone replies in English and it's like totally normal for users of r/Switzerland to do that.

Is it worrying that Galenica AG owns so many pharmacies throughout Switzerland?

Galenica AG, headquartered in Bern, is an internationally active Swiss pharmaceutical and logistics company group. It owns the two big Swiss pharmacy chains Amavita and Sun Store, as well as co-owns Coop Vitality with Coop.

Isn't it worrying that the number one logistic leader of pharma products in Switzerland also owns three of the five top retail pharmacy chains in Switzerland? BENU and TopPharm are the two remaining pharma chains with significant present throughout Switzerland (TopPharma only in Deutschschweiz), but both have less visibility than Amavita and Sun Store

I was totally not aware of this trend

What happened to the zouxian (走线) since 2024?

I wonder about something: I remember reading that in 2024, a record number of Chinese tried to move to the US, mainly by first going to Ecuador which was visa free for Chinese, and then travel through Colombia, central america, and Mexico, to the USA.

I also watched videos in Chinese about it, for example youtube.com/watch?v=0JPUbMKMmfo&pp=ygUT6LWw57q_IOe-juWbveS5i-mfs9IHCQlPCwGHKiGM7w%3D%3D or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzz-azJUWNs

I learned recently that since then, Ecuador changed its visa free policy and now Chinese need a visa. So I wonder: are many chinese zouxian that didn't reach the USA for whatever reason, now stuck somewhere in central and south america? are there still "many" chinese zouxian as of 2026 or has the trend died off? Since as of 2026 走线 can no longer fly to Ecuador without a visa, what other path do most 走线 try to reach the USA? Did most 走线 eventually give up and go back to China? Or maybe they tried something else or went somewhere else? How many actually roughly managed to reach the USA and are still there?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you also notice this increase in "Tiefpreise" / "Prix bas" stickers in Coop / Migros those recent months?

I've never seen so many stickers with "Tiefpreise" / "Prix bas" in a Migros / Coop than in the recent months. This makes me worry, what is going on? In my local Migros, I also see more and more empty shelves with the product sticker still shown, which I guess is for products that aren't delivered anymore because the manufacturer didn't agree to the price set by Migros

I kind of understand both sides, of course the customer doesn't want to pay too much in the current economic situation, but manufacturers also can't sell at loss obviously

Is this tendency here to stay? This kind of worries me

https://www.swissinfo.ch/fre/service-militaire%3A-plus-de-passe-droit-pour-les-franco-suisses/91526534
