Hello! I absolutely love Iron Lung, and it's easily one of my favorite movies. I came up with this fan concept for Simon and an Iron Lung half-chapter, and I wanted to share.
My girlfriend is an artist, so she helped me out a ton by teaching me how to use Procreate, as well as doing the initial body outline and facial detail sketching. She's truly the best :)

The perk is labeled "Blood Whispers" and states, "You have experienced large amounts of both mental and physical trauma, causing you to hallucinate voices, both whispers and screams. Now in the fog, you continue to hear more than others - or are those hallucinations too?
You can hear the killer's terror radius at an additional .5/.75/1 meter. When injured, however, there is a 33% chance that you hallucinate the terror radius.
The third perk is purple with a black grid with 3 C'a at various spots. The perk is labeled "Rocks...with Tubes!" and states, "Navigating a blood ocean with nothing other than a rudimentary compass, depth meter, and paper map isn't an easy feat. No matter where you are as the trial comes to a close, you can navigate to an escape. One highlighted, the exit gates location remain highlighted until the trial ends." End Alt ID.]

"Raised as a Brother of Eden, Simon listened to the teachings of the Father growing up, keeping the Last Tree alive though whatever means necessary. With all of the stars and planets gone, the resources on the few remaining space stations were scarce. When Eden destroyed Filament Station, however, it was a step too far for Simon. No amount of indoctrination could warrant the loss of that many lives. Simon tried to stop it. Tried, that is.
Following Filament Station's destruction, Simon was taken into the custody of the Coalition of Iron, or C.O.I., a group of remaining space stations allied together in the hopes of survival. Labeled The Butcher of Filament Station, Simon's choice was once again taken from him - if he ever had one to begin with. His tattoo of Eden's symbol was burned off, his pendant with a seedling of the Last Tree stolen. His identity was replaced with that of 'Convict'.
To earn his freedom, Simon agreed to investigate a moon with an ocean of blood on behalf of the C.O.I. Perhaps Simon knew that he was never intended to come back, following being welded into a poorly constructed submarine with no food, hardly any water, and minimal medical supplies. Simon was sent to explore the blood ocean with little information, and even less visibility. His only view into the sanguine darkness around him was an x-ray - one that would provide him the light to see, a view to the outside world, and far more radiation than a single person could ever survive in the long term.
While he explored the caves that were meant to serve as his own catacomb, he learned he was never truly alone in the darkness. He was not the first sent down by the C.O.I. in the SM-13, nor was he the first sent down in the blood ocean. The Eel followed him, watching him, /talking/ to him. Simon came face-to-face with an ignorant god - but he had long had enough of the powers that be deciding his fate for him.
As he fought back and the Eel's teeth punctured his sub, flooding the submarine with blood, Simon saved the Black Box with the recordings of what he learned. He begged his mother to keep the Box safe, in the hopes his sacrifice would mean something. As he was drowning in the blood, a mysterious fog began to settle in the little airspace that remained. He closed his eyes, assuming his vision was going dark with his final breaths...until his eyes reopened, glinting in the light of a campfire." End Alt ID.]
