Scarring over the years

Just got done with a course of accutane 1.5 months ago and I’m wondering on a scale of 10 how severe my scarring looks? Most scarring is on the temples. I was considering stronger treatments like microneedling but not sure if it’s worth it and maybe could try like azaelic acid/tretinoin first. Just want to hear some thoughts!

PIE/PIH improvements

Hello! I just finished accutane a month ago. Never had a perfect month of no pimples and reached a cumulative of 11,400mg at 150lbs. My skin is a lot better acne wise though than pre accutane. I’m dealing with some PIE though from past acne and a couple pimples here and there (no different than end of treatment) overall how would my skin be rated out of a 10 and is azaelic acid prescription based worth it around the 2 or 3 month mark of being off accutane? I just don’t want it to ruin the progress I’ve made with a topical but curious to hear others experiences with this product!

Anyone else concerned after treatment?

I finished accutane a month ago and have had some pimples show up. Worrying about them probably doesn’t help but it’s kinda hard not to after going through this treatment for 11 months. I’m hoping it’s no relapse and things calm down but did anyone else start breaking out shortly after treatment ended but ended up having good results?

I reached 11,400mg total at 150lbs. Worst comes to worst, I’ll start back in the fall. How successful are second courses as well?

Acne/energy drinks

Anyone ever find that energy drinks specifically sugar free would break them out even if it’s days later? With a couple pimples or so. Reading up on it the constant cortisol spikes…. Can’t be healthy. I want to stop or only have them on special occasions. Curious to see if anyone else experiences the same. I’m a month off accutane but still get occasional pimples

Flushing causes

Hello! I hear a lot of people flushing due to like heat, spicy food, and exercise or cold weather but does anyone find exercising/sweating doesn’t make them flush real badly? My skin is way more sensitive than it ever was before the age of 20. Starting at the age of 20 and now (24). Never flushed like this and it started happening randomly but my triggers are stress (biggest trigger by far) and sometimes like going to lay down after eating. I never have really an issue with spicy foods and find that exercising helps and cold weather makes a flush less likely to happen. I’ve tried beta blockers for stress flushes but doesn’t help. Honestly it’s all just really random. Finished my accutane course a month ago. Love the acne results still get pimples here and there but much better than before

Results good or bad

I have finished my course after 11 months on 40mg 8 of those 11 months. Blue is before accutane and green is after. My skin has been sensitive for a few years now so redness is an issue but overall how does it look? Some pimples will still show here and there but for the most part I’m happy with the results. How quickly could a second course be started if needed? Realistically how long should results last from first course?

Can we all agree

That Brent’s voice is perfect for more chill songs at this point. Back to the living, so glad that you asked, searchlight, 365 are all amazing songs and fits his style nowadays. I think people are expecting them to put out songs like 45 or I dare you and he just can’t get that level anymore especially in live performances. Kinda reminds me of A7X and M shadows. Overall I give the new album 8/10. Pretty solid

When should I be worried?

I got done talking to my derm last Wednesday and she said I am good to go after a full course of 11,400mg total at 150lbs. Today was my last pill. She said she doesn’t really like taking people off if they haven’t had a full month of no new acne. But also thought now that I’m past my max cumulative dose I was more on the safe side. Anyone else in this same boat or was? Worst comes to worst I gotta go back on it at some point but really hoping it lasts at least through summer 🙏

Interested to hear other stories!

Last day results

Hello! Coming off of accutane very soon here but still have some small red pimples that show up maybe due to dryness? At this point I’ve reached over my max cumulative dose but has anyone here ever stopped accutane with some pimples still showing and had successful results afterwards?

Question about barrier/sun

I’m should be ending my treatment May 25th. I’m going on a vacation mid July and was wondering will it still be easy to burn by then? I’m of course going to wear sunscreen for the long run but was just wondering how fast my skin would heal back up after about a month and a half. I’ve asked my derm and she said it will fine but want other peoples experiences that have actually been on it! I have not burned during my treatment if that detail matters

Ever since the summer of 2022 (I’ll never forget this) my skin went from just acne prone to full on crazy flushing sensitive skin. Just before I turned 21 basically. I’ve been going to the derm for years now and honestly I think tretinoin/doxycycline caused this. Been on accutane for almost a year now and started in 2025 which really hasn’t made it any worse the flushing like I thought it would. Another possibility is sugar free energy drinks? But at the same time I’ve gone a whole month without them and nothing changed. Anyways looking for any helpful feedback on if this could be rosacea or something else? Stressful always thinking about face turning red like this in public and derms only make the issue worse 99% of the time
