Sorcerer Mickey has been my fav forever and a day. So naturally, my fav disneybound was him. I previously had brown shoes on prior to this picture, but thanks to the sudden torrential downpour earlier in the day. They got soaking wet and gave me the worst blisters, so had to change out of them. Wish I got pictures prior to me changing them tho.

I have been a kobo user since 2010. That’s when I was gifted my original kobo ereader (which-I would like to add, still works somehow!)

I received my KLC last year, April 18,2025, as an early Mother’s Day gift……and basically hasn’t left my side since. However, in the beginning of May 2026, my KLC started freezing and crashing upon being turned on. I’ve only ever purchased book from the kobo store and used Libby. Never side loaded any books.

I reached out to Kobo to ask if my device was potentially still under warranty. It was not. They offered me a discount on a new one. This was not ok with me. I pushed back, but in a very polite way. I explained I had been a loyal customer since 2010, VIP member etc, etc.

A couple days later I received an email saying that as a one time exception, they would send me a replacement KLC for no charge, as long as I shipped my malfunctioning KLC back to them. Once received, they would send me my replacement.

Again, I politely pushed back. I explained I use my KLC everyday, and also for some school work (being back in school while working full time, with a young child, being in your late 30’s with medical issues is TOUGH) I also explained my medical issues an the ease with the KLC. Again, they replied with they would send me the replacement and I could send back my malfunctioning KLC at my earliest convenience.

I know kobo doesn’t always have good customer service, but this time, I felt they went above and beyond and I am so incredibly thankful and grateful to them.

Just wanted to share the above and beyond customer service I received from them and give them a shout out.

Changed up the washi tape on my kobo-it had been a while-and I think she looks fabulous. Who else decorates their Kobo’s?
