In Watchmen (2019) Joe Keene is related to Keene Senior, who made vigilanteeism illegal. Implying that superheroes being illegal may have been a larger part in Ozymandias plan, and to deeply radicalize Americans in the Watchmen universe.
What? Zuko would never steal at his lowest point, oh wait he did. Multiple times
How much of Watchmen feels more relevant now because of events in the US after its release in the 80s?
-For me, things like 9/11 reminds me of the Squid Attack on New York.
-Ozymandias reminding me personally of Elon Musk.
-Superhero’s giving an energy of State Controlled Media (similar to ICE) rather than actual superheroes.
-Nixon’s third and fourth terms feeling awfully reminiscent of Trump’s Third and Fourth terms.
-The US still being nostalgic and favorable about its past (especially 40s-60s) and still trying to be a nationalist, colonialism based country, despite it not being that currently. There is still belief of that.
-Far right wing conservatives being detached heavily from reality.
Is there anything I’m missing or you think are true? Lmk
Looks like Season 2 of the Netflix Show has had an early press junket to mostly positive reviews, with a review embargo lifting June 25th

We’ve reached Star Wars fan levels of complaining now
Some Predictions for Season 2
-Ba Sing Se is not only brainwashing citizens, but kidnapping prisoners and putting them in fire nation outfits and putting them on the front line for them to die.
-Chi is going to play a big part in the story, Sokka might feel “strong chi” while in the library, and sees a “spiritual wolf” (a mention in the original show, and thinks it’s Yuai.) The Painted Lady might be more spiritual inspired this season too.
- Aang and Katara discover the lovers tomb in Omashu, that’s where they first kiss.
-The Library does indeed stay in the desert.
-Zuko’s mom goes to Koh the face stealer, and has her face removed to avoid being killed for Ozai to be next in throne.
These are all personal predictions I have. What do you guys think?
