Matcha from a Dublin based shop called Omma. Highly recommend. They also have an online shop.
Leaving this here as inspiration because that's honestly why I love getting my matcha here. It's a blueberry syrup base, coconut milk and their kumidori matcha. The cold foam is ube, topped with bee pollen and edible glitter.
I plan on switching from a bullet journal planner layout to a Hobonichi for 2027 - I'm excited and also overwhelmed with the 2027 line being made public soon.
***EDIT***
Thank you so much everyone for all your advice! I'm realising that overall a Hobonichi is missing what I want the most which is a really big monthly planner and a yearly layout. So I plan on getting a Cousin solely for this upcoming release and adding that into the page space at the back. If it's not working out, I can always get a Weeks in the April start date.
Original post continues below 💖
I plan on getting both a Cousin and a Weeks because... why not, one can fit in my TN for being out and about and the other in a leather cover I still don't own. I'm not the type of person very into decorating spreads or keeping a page a day and plan to use both for organisation / events / normal planner stuff, not really sure what else. Maybe a little writing in the Cousin.
I'd love to hear from other functional planner users, how the Hobonichi system works for you and if it's worth getting both, or just one. How does it hold up for monthly overview - is there enough space? I've really been swept up in the hype but want to make sure it really is functional for use too. If that makes sense. I'm self-employed and have to note jobs and events months in advance and need a good monthly overlay too.
I always have way more fun making matcha drinks at home as opposed to ordering them, but I go through matcha so fast and it's €35 for a refill bag. Anyway - this is a coconut milk iced matcha latte with homemade cherry-vanilla syrup for a little something.
I've begun experimenting with cyanotyping lately and my radar for knowing when to take the items out of the sun has gotten shockingly bad. The one on the left was out for about half an hour and is still underexposed (I think?). The one on the right was in strong sun for fifteen minutes. I generally go by when I see the bronze / copper patches appearing then the process is done. For detailed flowers like the cornflower, should it be a lot longer? How easy is it to actually overexpose the image - if in doubt, is it better to leave it for a little? Thank you!
Bought at [V]olumes cafe in Dublin. Matcha used is from 'Omma' (also based in Dublin). Ordered with coconut milk and raspberry puree made in house.
I've been torn between a passport sized TN and the a6 / pocket sized cover fron Paper Republic. Decided to go for Paper Republic today because I much prefer their colour options and it works out cheaper.
However I'm not a fan of the paper refills that PR have as my fountain pens have ghosted so much on them before. I'd love to ask for some recommendations on what notebooks best fit in the pocket size and where from. I've checked measurements from different brands against the pocket cover already but from using a5 notebooks in my XL Grand Voyager, I know there's still some size differences.
Preferably not Moleskin but open to any brands good with fountain pens!
Hey fellow Lex gang. I started lexapro late last year after it became clear that sertraline wasn't working for me. Began on 10mg and I chose to go to 15mg last month - it's been exactly a month on the 15mg now!
I've noted I feel way more tired, way more often. Like my eyes ache. Yesterday I spent most of the day napping or just lying horizontally. Lexapro has really helped my anxiety (it got me leaving the house again and out of a horrific period of panic attacks, not eating, being scared of everything basically). Some other things to note here too: my job is physically demanding but I haven't been doing anything this week (self-employed). I'm also AuDHD and not on any medication for the ADHD aspect. But I don't feel natural tired at all. It's like fighting a constant urge to just stop what I'm doing, lie down and snooze. I take my dose in the mornings and haven't tried taking it in the evenings yet (I have a lot of anxieties around changing my dose time after last year). Before I go to my doctor, is there anything else I could try? I'm also based in Europe for reference.
Photo purely for aesthetic here.
I have a friend based in Tokyo who has kindly offered to purchase some TN items for me from one of the stores there. I've tried navigating the official JP website for TN but couldn't find any special or limited edition items there. I'd love to have an idea of what to ask for or even just choose the items I want the most (and know how much Yen to send them). Any insight would be great and I'd love to see photos of any TN items you have from Japan too! Thank you in advance!
We're not even broaching the subject of bits from Itoya yet, that's a whole other adventure.
