Why I think the Valkyries subtitle doesn’t mean it’s particularly a Valkyries centred book

I think that a series title very often has very little to do with the plot overall and it’s more to do with what is a catalyst and it’s very possible the Valkyries and the events in ACOSF kicked off this whole set of books or this ‘era’. But I was thinking about the following;

The Eating Woods (a conduit between worlds but the plot not based solely on it and infact you spend very little time there at all)
The Empyrean- is not any main plot force they’re a background political organisation related to but isn’t the main driving force of the plot. Our main characters are mostly outside of it entirely
Crowns of Nyaxia - Not about nyaxia. She’s a trigger and shows up sporadically.

I know people have shared other theories that it’s also going to be mostly based around the Valkyries opera that is about forbidden love. I just think the blurb told a very different story and I’m not entirely sure this is a literal subtitle.

Monarch owners!

How are you finding it ? Any regrets that you didn’t get a more Tudory Tudor ? I’ve seen it twice and I’m fairly certain I’m gonna go for it over a date just for a casual to dress type watch.

Need some inspo!

So many series are falling apart after the first book, characters getting annoying, unnecessary threesomes because they don’t know how to keep it interesting. Please, somebody help me with a recommendation. I just tried to read light wielder and it’s gone the same way as Godkissed bride and from blood and ash. Someone help with something that has maintained its quality. You still care about the romance books in and the world is actually interesting and not a carbon copy of every other world. I’m losing my faith in the genre.

Difference from books

I’m really interested/concerned how they’re gonna handle Allie sleeping with Hunter. I mean it was so wildly different to books. I can’t imagine them easily rekindling after that for a while. I really hope we get the call Dean moment and asshole Sean. But I think Dean will find it hard to forgive (not that she did anything wrong) but that hurt and his pride will be very hard for him to overcome.

What bothers me about Kai

This might seem like a really weird complaint but he never goes down on Isabella. That just doesn’t speak to me in a book boyfriend. It seems odd in a romance in general. Does it bother anyone else?

Roadster in U.K.

Hi so I cannot see this on the U.K. website but it’s on the US website. Is there a date when these are expected to be available in the UK or in stores?

Why does Garrett need to ask for help from Dean?

Clearly he has a significant amount of experience and the 2 girls we saw him with seemed nothing if not pleased with his performance so why does he turn to Dean? Seems like he knows exactly what to do even if Dean has even more experience. I guess it could be a case of doing as much research as possible ?

If Garrett is ineligible how will he come back?

So if they were punished for his supposed ineligibility which was obviously bullshit. But how come he would be allowed to ever come back? I don’t know Hockey so I’m just confused.

What role will Hannah Garratt have in future seasons?

I know it’s said they wouldn’t disappear but I really hope there’s still some significant story for them. I mean I imagine the actors are being paid a lot so I would hope they’ll be used as more than set dressing. Maybe the crush Logan had will come up? The truth about why he beat up Delaney (cause I need people to know he’s not just crazy) and obviously their careers and navigating them together.

How did Hannah know?

Like how did Hannah know when she just left Justin and went to the ice rink that Garratt would be into having a girlfriend? Or even knowing he’s into her like that? Enough to just abandon her crush? Was she just taking a leap of faith even though she’s never been told differently ? Cause honestly that’s pretty brave.

The biscuit was not a ‘rejection’

So I see so many people online latching onto ‘Cassian rejected the biscuit and therefore they’re not mates’ like did everyone skip the part where he didn’t take the simple ‘easy’ option and instead wanted her to have a big ceremony that she wanted. For a couple that had been in the dark so long, Nesta not wanting to be seen together. This was such a big thing that they’ve being so public! Aldo we know they’re about to have the ceremony so how can they ‘not be mates’ ?!

Throne of Nightmares - what is the time period?

Like I loved the previous 2 in this series, kingdom of the wicked was ok but this book seems so badly written. It’s got really modern vernacular and very cheesy Booktok phrasing throughout. Anyone who knows is Lore from a modern period? I didn’t get that when we were in her world. It’s the only thing I can think of. I don’t recall the other books being this bad and cheesy? Maybe it’s consistent with the style of the others but I’ve found it really jarring.

I was so excited stating this episode on my rewatch cause I love the actor and got the episode but this character may be the most unlikeable in the whole show.
