I tried to do an orchestral composition. I want to get into writing video game music. I’m using free sound libraries. Also I haven’t learned how to properly compose with orchestral percussions so I stuck with a drum kit for simplicity. Advice?

After spending 70hrs on the game, finally felt justified to spend some money. $50 worth of different outfits to make this. Basic design and Finished design.

Anyone know how I could fix this bug?

I can’t seem to progress this quest. It was already bugged from the start, not showing me where the locations of the flags were. Now i’m unable to get the last flag to progress the story because the pole doesn’t exist to pick up. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a fix to this?

What are some things that low level players can do together?

Most of the gameplay seems to center around the story and solo player content from what i’ve seen. Outside of farming materials in a friends world, what actually is there to do with 2-3 people? we are all around level 40-50.

Very novice question regarding modes and composition.

I’m aware of Aeolian and Ionian. Outside of those basic 2, which modes would be best to learn for cinematic composition, for video games or movie compositions.

I wanted to broaden my knowledge on modes and don’t know which to start with. My theory knowledge plateau’s at Major and minor scales, inversions, extended chords, and such. I’ve never ventured outside of this bubble.

So outside of Aeolian and Ionian, is there a specific mode that is more prevalent in pop culture for video game/ orchestral composition that I should start with?

This might be a stupid question, sorry in advance.

Any advice/ roadmap is greatly appreciated.

Is there a bounce and replace toggle?

Is it possible to bounce a midi track and have it automatically replace the original with the new audio track. Or is the only method to bounce your track to audio then manual delete the midi track?

It’s not the biggest deal in the world but if there is a way, it would free up 1 additional tedious step.

Is there a way to apply a tempo to an audio region then adjust it to a different tempo?

For example, i put in a splice vocal on my track. My track is 120bpm and the vocal is 126. Usually I would just stretch it down to 120 and usually it would start on the beat and everything would be fine. The problem is, this vocal doesn’t start on a beat. I was wondering if i could just apply a tempo to the audio region (126, the tempo it’s currently at) then stretch it to the tempo of my project (120). This would remove the guessing game of how much to stretch it as I try to fit it into the track.

Hopefully this makes sense but maybe i’m bad at explaining it.

Is there a guiding principle to creating chord progression changes?

Maybe the title doesn’t explain what i’m asking properly because I don’t know the terminology. But let’s say there’s a chord progression throughout the whole song of vi-IV-V-ii or something. It’s the same throughout the verse’s and chorus then during the bridge, the progression changes completely to something new.

Or it’s the same throughout the verse and pre-chorus, then the progression completely changes at the chorus.

Is there terminology for this technique so I can look into it easier?

Whenever I apply this technique it feels like a guessing game of what chords should go in the new progression. Is there a guiding principle to apply this and know it’ll work?

Basically when doing this, i feel like im walking through fog and would like some more clarity of the process. Any help is greatly appreciated!

edit: you guys are giving me amazing answers and im thankful, going to reply once im out of work but ive been reading each one
