I got to meet Christian at the Boston Fan Expo this past weekend. He was so incredibly sweet and funny. He was laughing when I told him how much I love Mr. Whittman and how sad I’d be if we never get to see him in the show again. I had to have him sign the Vincent print, of course. I picked a Vox quote that I would absolutely fall head over heels hearing his sultry voice say. YES, I know I am delulu 😅

Going to Boston Fan Expo 🤩

Specifically so I can finally meet Christian. I’m going all out with the Vincent stuff. I’m gonna wear a Vincent shirt, have a Vincent bag with Vincent pins & a Vincent keychain so I figured I needed to decorate my badge too.

Vincent. Vincent. VINCENT. The chokehold this fictional man has on me 🥵🩵

Have any of you guys had the chance to meet Christian? I’m definitely gonna see if I can grab that Vincent print to have him sign it. Should I ask any silly Vincent questions/theories/HC?

Looking for something with the vibe of sailing on stormy seas, high winds, rough rain, adventure. Dangerous sirens/mermaids looking to lure unlucky sailors towards their deaths. Mostly looking for horror and creepy folkloric stories. Audiobooks preferred now that I have a long work commute.

Which audiobook should I listen to next?

I started a new job with a longer commute, so I’ve taken to start listening to audiobooks on the road. I’m almost finished with Revival, I have about 1 hour left. I have read Pet Sematary and IT in the past and maybe I’ll try their audiobooks later down the line but which story should I listen to next?

I’m open to any kind of horror but I do love paranormal and creature stuff a lot. And even though I’ve only listed Stephen King here, I’m open to any author.

Right now, I have “Where the chill waits”, “The Burial Tide” and “The Troop” added to my Audible list. Does anyone have opinions on those stories?

[Massachusetts] Question about claim?

[Massachusetts]
I got laid off on May 20th and I submitted claims for unemployment. This is my first time ever having to sign up for it, so I’m not quite sure how everything works. My employer didn’t respond by the deadline (June 2) and my last couple weeks just say pending still. I did find another job and my first day is tomorrow. I have two questions, will I get retroactive back pay for the weeks I was out of work and when do I actually close my claim? On my first day or at the end of this week? I’m going to be getting paid bi-weekly at this new job, not sure if that even matters. Any help is appreciated :)

Dumb question

Love the movie and the book but I have a dumb question. Was the term “beldam” made up for this story or is it a real folkloric thing? The only thing I can really find is that it’s some kind of word for “old hag” but obviously the Other Mother is some kind of magical/witch-type creature, not just a person. Is she a type of fae? I’ve seen videos where there are ideas and talk of the fae folk throughout the movie (ex. mushroom ring) so I didn’t know. Wanted to hear this sub’s thoughts :)

We get to see the rooms of Charlie & Vaggi, Alastor, Angel, Baxter, Pentious and Cherri. Where does Husk sleep at night? Does he even get a room? Surely, Charlie would feel bad and give him one of the hundreds available, right? I mean, SURELY no one is going to treat the CAT character like this, right? Right?!?

My friend and I just theorize that Alastor put a newspaper down behind the bar for Husk to nap on and no one questions it. Everyone is just like “this is fine” 🙌🏻

THE DISRESPECT HUSK GETS IS DEPLORABLE 😭
