So, India is currently sitting at 12th place in the Asian Games 2026, trailing just behind the glorious, thriving utopia that is North Korea (9th). Honestly? We should be incredibly proud of this achievement. Who cares if we are performing worse than the worst country on the planet? They might have more medals, but do they have a world-class reservation policy? Didn't think so.

The only sad reality here is that the players themselves aren't selected through reservations yet even though their coaches often are. We really need to fix this. After all, proper training, talent, and a coach's past athletic achievements are completely overrated. Why look at a coach's track record or motivational skills when their surname and the caste identity they were born into are utmost important pre-requisites for hiring?

And for those complaining about facilities: I'm sure if we just throw enough concrete and funding at the problem, the state-of-the-art running tracks and gym equipment will literally just train the athletes themselves. But let's be real, we definitely don't have the budget for world-class sports infrastructure anyway. Everyone knows the absolute pinnacle of national development is ensuring the SC/ST budget takes priority. That "proudly" sits way higher on the list than trivial, overrated things like sports, basic health, and education. Why fund stadiums, hospitals, or schools when we have quotas to maintain?

Just look at Cricket. The BCCI operates without reservations, and yes, we are the best at cricket... but at what cost?!

I humbly suggest we introduce reservations in all sports, including cricket, to 100% and extend it directly to player selection. We must achieve a perfectly inclusive society, even if it comes at the minor cost of complete international humiliation on the global stage. I am 100% sure this is exactly what the founders of India dreamt of.

Also, anyone who disagrees with this incredibly progressive idea should be put in jail immediately. As a non-bailable offense, obviously.

Rethinking Reservation: The Case for Credit-Based Selection

While I support social upliftment, expanding percentage-based quotas is unsustainable and unfair. Instead of playing with reservation numbers, we must reform the system's core design.

The Problem

>Imagine 100 restaurant tables where 60-80 are reserved for specific surnames, and 40 are 'open.' If those reserved guests take 10 of the open tables first, you’re left with 30, but their 60 reserved tables remain locked for them no matter even if they even show up or not. It’s an open table pool for everyone, but a restricted one for you.
Not only this but Overtime, they get faster cars, best concierge and your chance to get seats will keep on shrinking.

Unreserved (UR) seats are an open merit pool, not a General Category (GC) quota. When Reserved Category candidates perform well on raw marks, they naturally secure open merit seats.

This leaves economically poor GC candidates fighting for fewer remaining open seats with zero structural support. Over time, affluent families within reserved groups keep benefiting, while poor GC families fall further behind.

The Solution: Deprivation Credits

Replace rigid quotas with a Credit-Based Model. Everyone competes on a single merit list, but extra points are awarded for genuine socio-economic disadvantages.

For a 100-mark exam, candidates can earn a capped maximum of 5–10 total credit points:

• Government Schooling (>70% attendance): +3 Credits
• Wards of Fallen Military Personnel (Martyred in Line of Duty): +5 Credits
• Sports Achievements (State / National / International Representation): +2 to +4 Credits
• Service Background (NCC / Agniveer / Military Service): +2 Credits
• Community & Volunteering (NSS / Verified Public Service): +2 Credits
• Persons with Disabilities: +5 Credits

Why This Works Better

• Targets Real Need: Supports candidates based on actual poverty and background, not just birth identity.
• Fair Competition: Capping total credits (5–10%) ensures bonus points help deserving candidates without completely overriding raw exam performance.
• No Generational Hoarding: A strict "Once-in-a-Lifetime" rule stops affluent families from reusing credits across generations.
• Fraud-Proof: Eligibility is automatically verified via digital portals (DigiLocker, Tax records) to stop fake certificates.

This system gives a fair boost to those who actually need it without locking anyone out.

I’m student who have been studying in 11th class and one day will appear for NEET exams sonam sir is not breaking fast even though he was forcefully kidnapped and it makes me really guilty as he is doing fast for us students but I couldn’t even fast.

the main reason i couldn’t fast is im living with my parents and i get physically abused when i even bring of doing hunger strike. my mom gives emotional threats and my dad beats me.

so i’ve decided to no observe fast but to abstain from mastrubation until dharmendra pradhan is resigned. this is my way of honouring sonam sir and standing with him even tough i couldn’t stand physically or do hunger strike at my home.
