Does anyone else put their villager to bed before turning off for the night?

It seems kind of silly but it's very relaxing and so cosy to me. I usually shut the curtains and turn off all the lights, but sometimes when it's really clear I let the curtains stay open for moonlight 😭 And I wear PJ's. Is it just me? 💀

Two single biggest achievements in my six years of playing this game!

Never cared about catching all the critters until recently. I thought catching the golden stag was actually going to kill me. Critterpedia completion here I come 😭🙏🏻

30F - Seeking ACNH buddies! 🍎

I have played since release and ADORE the games, but I am back into ACNH in a big way right now! It's such a familiar and cosy game and after having a bit of a rough time lately it's brought me a lot of comfort to return to it.

I've found a new love for the game by focusing on completion - working on my Critterpedia, collecting and crafting all DIYS etc.

I would love some friends who love the game too, where we can visit each other's islands and chat about all things ACNH, especially all the cute things in the game 😄🩷

Let me know who's your favourite villager if you're interested in connecting 🙏🏻 Mine is Gala 🐷💐

Island Open For Visitors! 🫶🏻

Opening my island for visitors!

I'll just be in the sea or fishing, I'm trying to complete my Critterpedia 😄

Fireworks are happening, I'm BST so it's the evening time. Feel free to buy anything from the shops or pick fruit 🍎 There's a DIY drop zone in the bottom right corner of the island. Help yourself.

If you'd like to visit please comment with your in game name and your island name. I'll DM you the Dodo. I'll only do a max of four visitors at a time.

No need to leave tips, I don't need anything. Please write on my noticeboard though if you have the time 🩷

Curious: Is there a canonical reason why Abaddon has his hair like that?

Relatively new to 40k. Read the first three HH books. Was confused about why he looks like that.

Why does Abaddon have that (subjectively) awful pony tail that he still sports in 40k? Does it mean anything? The high pony seems random to me. Is it explained or examined further in future works? Or is it just a hair cut and I'm thinking too much about it? Thanks in advance 😂

P.S. I can't wear a high pony now without thinking about him. I don't know why my brain has latched on to this.

EDIT: It seems topknot is the correct term for this hairstyle. High pony does make me giggle though, so I may continue using it.

Flashbacks taken me by surprise, how to cope?

How to recover and ground? Haven't dealt with them for a very long time and it's debilitating me today. Home alone and want to get myself calm, I've been physically sick and am reeling. Any ideas? I have water and have lit a candle for scent

30F seeking friends to chat about the little things.

Looking for like-minded people who want to check in and talk about the little things in life that are often taken for granted. Let's talk about the good things in our days. Was there something in the natural world that you noticed that brought a smile to your face? Did you have a particularly nice cup of tea or coffee this morning? Have you met a kind stranger today?

Let's share these things together. Tell me something nice about your day, and I'll tell you something nice about mine.

When you message me, introduce yourself with your name, age and location, and let me know whether you prefer spring or autumn and why, so I know you've read this post in its entirety and that you have the same intentions as I do for our conversations.

Take care 🩷

Do we think I'm gonna receive this?

Is this hopeless? I don't use Vinted much, but every time I have and I've used InPost it's been fine and I've had my package within the week, usually quicker.

It's been over two weeks, with no update on the tracking. The seller is in the same country as me and posted it promptly. Whenever I track it it just says we have your parcel, it will be delivered soon. Nothing else.

Am I cooked?

As an author, do you reply to every comment? As a reader, do you like having your comment replied to?

I'm interested to know as I don't really have any fic friends these days to chat with.

I will do my best to always reply to every comment, but I worry that it may be off-putting? I have readers that comment on every chapter and I don't want them to feel constantly spammed with "thank yous" and replies but I am so grateful and am trying to figure out how to balance it. Is it standard practice to reply to everyone every time? As a reader is it annoying or is it appreciated?

I don't read much fic anymore since I began writing so much and haven't had anyone to ask. There were some fics I would comment on a lot back in the day but never received a reply so unsure how common it is or what is standard, or even if there even is a standard.

Also, how often do you check your inbox? I find I can be obsessive about checking my inbox for kudos/comments/bookmarks so I try and limit myself to doing it at a certain time during the day otherwise I just constantly wonder if someone has interacted. No email alerts for this reason 😭

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!
