I've seen plenty of fan projects that depict this Realm with the chrome spheres just always on the track nonstop (Project Acceleracers and fan-made Distance tracks), as well as others that keep the spheres but don't always shove them in your face (some other Distance tracks).

Just going by the official card game artwork and description, this sounds like it would be one of, if not the most challenging Realm the series has to offer, so much so that even if you decided to have some of the better drivers like Taro, Kurt, and Karma enter it, they'd probably die before they could even try to activate their EDRs.

So I'm curious, how would you guys handle this Realm if you were charge of writing it? And who would you have win in the end?

(This is my only screenshot, so I only have proof of one example. I had a similar experience yesterday after the album dropped, but I already forgot what song that was. Just thought it was funny as hell).

This is one of the biggest things I personally want P6 to do, so I'll honestly be disappointed, but not surprised if they don't go through with it and just stick to P4 and 5's version of Second Awakenings, where they essentially remain locked behind your party members' Social Links. At this point, it feels like there's no good reason not to go back to P3's roots in this regard since they produced Reload.

Now look, I get it, P3's way of storytelling and introducing its characters is very different from P4 and 5. And I'm guessing (keyword: guessing) the negative reception towards P3's pacing is what caused Atlus to switch to the different and somewhat episodic style of storytelling we know today, and as a result, it doesn't seem like they could find ways/decent spots in the story for the main characters to get their Second Awakenings the way they used to.

Still though, I just kinda miss how natural and even powerful most of P3's Second Awakenings felt in the story, and I wish P4 and 5 didn't treat them like basic ass power-ups once you've maxed out your teammates' Social Links.

Another issue I'd like to point out would be how poorly spin-offs like P4 Arena, P5 Strikers, and P5 Tactica handle your party members' Personas, because those games seem to act like you never maxed out ANY of the Investigation Team or Phantom Thieves' Social Links while playing the original games, and they just have each of the main casts go back to their default Personas with no in-universe explanation whatsoever. Why the hell would they do this? Even if this wasn't their intention, it just makes your party members' SLs feel non-canon, which just feels wrong for self-explanatory reasons and no amount of shitty head-canons can justify that in my eyes. Even Teddie and Morgana suffer from this even though their SLs are automatic from start to finish, and when you think about it, their Second Awakenings are executed in ways P3 would've done (or at least Teddie's scene does). And yet, their Personas also randomly regress back to their original forms in the spin-offs anyway?

From a company standpoint, I'm guessing it's a weird matter of what looks more "iconic" or "appealing" to the games' audiences, like Makoto riding her motorcycle Persona even while not in combat. You wouldn't get to see that anymore if she still had Anat.

This is also part of why I hate the idea of Third Awakenings and find them to be a redundant concept. What's even the point of them if you're just gonna have the main characters not keep them at all in the future? Just so we can have a new special skill for the Third Semester dungeons? That sounds boring as hell. There may be some cool and deeper meanings to each and every one of the Third Awakenings we currently know of, but I really don't care about that stuff at all.

What I'm trying to say is, I'm worried about what kind of direction P6 will take with Second Awakenings. As much as I want them to feel more naturally integrated like P3 again (and this obviously requires actual effort in their character writing, mind you), I'd be more or less content with them sticking with the approach they've been going with since P4...... as long as they DO NOT repeat the same mistakes P4 and 5's spin-offs did when P6 inevitably gets its own spin-offs. PLEASE let P6's main cast keep their evolved Personas in the future. And PLEASE DO NOT even bother with Third Awakenings anymore. Second Awakenings are more than enough.

Or... hell, if any of that is somehow too much work for them, they might as well even scrap Second Awakenings altogether so that everyone in P6 can keep their default Personas for the rest of their lives. Or better yet, I also wouldn't mind the idea of them not evolving their Personas until a spin-off actually happens. Either one of those could work.

Of course, it's easy to imagine Skyress, Gorem, Tigrerra, and Preyas trying to vouch for Hydranoid by saying how much he's changed and that he helped save Vestroia, but I don't think too many other Bakugan would be as forgiving anyway, and they'd most likely be afraid to be anywhere near him even if they weren't victims of him and only heard of how dangerous he was. How long would it realistically take for Hydranoid to have an at least slightly better reputation among his species before the Vestals invade New Vestroia?

I'd like to hear more thoughts on this.

Kuro the Artist and Kellen Goff have confirmed in their newest livestream that this is indeed supposed to be Odd. They chose him specifically because he is their favorite CL character (they're also aware of the potential sequel for the series and hope it will come to fruition).
