Outlets in truck

Outlets in truck

I have a 115 V out both in the cab & in the bed of the truck. I needed to run my DeWalt air compressor - for a flat SXS tire. I tried plugging it in to both outlets but it wouldn't work. I did turn on the bed outlet switch that is inside the cab & I had the truck running but nothing would work. Did I do something wrong or incorrect? Or is that little air compressor too much for those outlets? 😬

How Should I Fix This

Was between Mesquite, Nevada and North Las Vegas, late Monday night. It was a very black colored road and I didn't see the piece of semi truck tire until I was up on it. The truck missed it but the two trailer tires hit it and flung it to the back corner of the trailer. It is fairly bendable but not sure how to fix it. Just try to bend it back some and put a screw in it? Or, is there a better way? It even took off the end cap on my bumper so I lost it, as well.

Really Need Help!

I e-filed my Federal & State (Arizona) returns on February 14, 2026. They were accepted. Around March 1, 2026, while checking "Where's My Refund", I noticed it says this:

Action Required

"Please read the following information related to your tax situation. You may need to provide additional information to receive your full refund.

We received your return and sent you a letter requesting more information. Please respond by following the instructions in the letter. If you don't respond, your refund amount could be changed. It may take 2-3 weeks for you to receive the letter."

I finally received the letter about 2 1/2 weeks later. They wanted Qualified Manufacturer Identification Number (QMID) on my Form 5695. However, the 2 QMID's WERE on the form I submitted! Right where they should be! So, I sent them those forms, again, and pointed out that the QMID's were right there, where they should be.

Now, it's been nearly 4 months and I still haven't heard anything or received my refund. I still get the same, exact message, about "Action Required" whenever I check "Where's My Refund."

This is my FIRST refund in over 30 years and it isn't even a large refund - I replaced windows and upgraded my HVAC so am due Energy Efficient Home Improvement credit!

Is there actually a number I could call and speak to a real human being? What can I do in order to check on this or actually receive my refund??

Lithium Battery Question

So, for SURE, does this mean I can change out my lead acid battery, with two lithium batteries, and not need to do anything else? The system will automatically adjust for them??

We've Got a Leak....Help?!

Our 2024 Heartland North Trail 22RBS began leaking a bit today as it has rained, off and on, almost all day here in Montana. This is in the bathroom by the vent, right where the moulding makes a corner, we think. What can we do? We can't permanently address anything until we are back home (Arizona) around the 25th of June. What can we do in the meantime? 😬

Rough Country seat covers

I put the new Rough Country seat covers on today! Absolutely love the front seats. However, since the backseat only folds up, not down, the backseat cover is just sitting on top of the seats with no way to attach them. Sigh. 🙄

Extending the gray and black tanks valves

I bought this thinking I could just unscrew the handle on the current handle and screw this extension on. But it doesn't work that way. Is there any type of option that would be that easy to extend these??

Does all this underbelly look right??

This the underbelly of a 2024 Heartland North Trail 22RBS travel trailer. I was under there trying to put extenders on my tank valve handles but that didn't work out. Then, I glanced at the entire bottom and these photos are what I saw. 😬

Trailer Brake Controller

Getting ready to go on a vacation with our 6500 lb travel trailer. How do I use the trailer brake controller? I'm not sure about the gain (+ or -). I think the trailer brake type should be Light but am just not sure. What do I do if I'm going down steep grades? 🤔

Water pressure regulator gauge

I have a water pressure regulator gauge like this one. I decided to try it out, at home, before our trip. I hooked it up and attached the hose to the City Water inlet. I BARELY turned it on a trickle and the gauge jumped up to 60! I immediately turned it off and it took 10-15 minutes for the pressure t come back down to near nothing. Why did it do this? What did I do wrong? I was going to put it at around 40 but it just went way up so I finally gave up. Will it work differently (correctly) at a campground? 😬

Leaving trailer hooked to truck

If I pull into an RV park, just for a quick overnight rest stop, can I leave the truck and trailer all hooked up? Can I simply unplug the 7 pin from the truck and plug the trailer into the 30 amp shore power at the campground? Do I need to do anything else? Since I will have an electric car fridge/freezer plugged into the bed of my truck, I figure I just need to unplug it and bring it inside and plug it in there for the night, right?

Tank valves way under trailer

We have a 2024 Heartland North Trail 22RBS trailer and where you connect your sewer hose and drain your tanks is WAY underneath the unit! We're talking like a foot or so underneath! It makes it really hard to get the hoses hooked up and then even be able to pull the handles to empty them. Has anybody else noticed it or is it just me? I'm normal height but it's just hard to reach. Don't guess anything can be done so was more venting than anything else.

Seat Cover Suggestions

What is an EASY TO PUT ON cloth seat cover for the front and back seats of the 2500?

Do I need to bypass my water heater before sanitizing my tanks? What will happen if I sanitize them without bypassing it? Is it hard to bypass it? This is for a 2024 Heartland North Trail 22RBS travel trailer.

Will this 12 volt car fridge work OK when plugged into the outlet in the bed of the truck?? Does the truck have to be running for that outlet to work?? Thanks for any info!!
