I started this arrange years ago on a whim. The mix is messy, but this is jungle/digital hardcore, so it's supposed to sound like that. Some of the melodies sound like Fires of Hokkai, but I basically stitched together a bunch of samples and a bassline to produce this. I like it because it's just so different for a Touhou arrange. Only my own brand of freak could make something like this.

Well, I eventually deleted the track, but later someone told me that they got this from Osu. Someone out there liked it enough to make an Osu map, so I revisited the project.

I tried to mix and master it again and I think I'll just mark this project as finished and move on. I also gave it a cooler name.

This one was inspired by Lone's Galaxy Garden. When I was listening to Trojan Asteroid Jungle, the first thing that came to mind was how cool it would be to use that album art for this video. I mean, the Torifune is basically an abandoned galaxy garden!

My arrange of "The Wolves of Nanatsuishi Dash to Seize the Clouds" from Rainbow-Colored Septentrion.
This is one of his catchiest Hifuu tunes and it's largely ignored by people. It's actually hummable and it lends itself to a fast BPM.

I want to save these Hifuu arranges for their own Hifuu-themed album. I think that'd be fun. So Gensou Reverie (my upcoming Touhou album) will only include arranges from the games. I think the cover art will be finished this month, but am not in a hurry to release it anyway.

Also mods, I ask for permission to use the art on my music and commission my own cover art. The only time I don't bother doing that is when their terms are lax and I know they don't care. My Blusky and Twitter accounts have public and private exchanges of permissions given by various artists. It's all good though, just don't be so strict.

A progressive house arrange of a banger from the Hifuu Club.

I've had my fair share of adventures inspired by the Hifuu Club, going back to 2018 and then later. Some of this stuff is on my Instagram. Some of it is for my own enjoyment only. Not everything needs to be shared, but I'm proud that I nailed the exact location of the cemetery in Ghostly Field Club before it was known. At some point in time I only specifically cared about these two (the outsiders), not Gensokyo itself.

I think it's because going to a Hifuu location feels like visiting a qi field or a power spot. You know that pagan malarkey about the earth having specific locations with high energy? If you suspend your disbelief, visiting such locations is the equivalent of connecting with Gensokyo. Before you know it, you're the Maribel, and you're the Renko.

While I wait for my Touhou album art to be drawn (which is gonna be gorgeous and made by a very cool person), I figured I'd mix and master this track again. The original is kinda rough around the edges, but it's the best I could do in 2011. I didn't change the protagonism of each instrument in the mix too much, but some of it had to be adjusted. The overall master is louder, up to today's standards.

This should be an improvement in every way.

A short track that's meant to be the outro of my Touhou album. Bossa nova but sad. I made the vocals with SynthV and the rest with Kontakt libraries.

I still can't believe I made a Touhou album in 2026 with 8 tracks (including Flandre's theme from last year). I will call it Gensou Reverie.

Now I want to commission artwork for the album cover, and I know who would draw it for me, but I don't know if I can afford it. So the release date is up in the air. I guess I'll let you know when it's out.

We're going way back with this one ⛩️

I'll try to keep this short. Hakurei ~ Eastern Wind is my favorite Touhou track. I wanted to try symmetry with this arrange. The patterns, cutoff filters, delays, resonance, bitcrushing and other automation clips are done like that. The dynamics of the intro and bridge are quiet and the choruses hit the ceiling (1-2-1-2-1). I had a specific idea in mind and the art matches it.

This was going to be a chill arrange of Mima's theme but then I got carried away with FM8 and vocoders and it turned into this. It sounds mildly french, doesn't it? Once I realized where it was headed, I made the image fit it as well.

Anyway, yea, this is an arrange of Mima's theme from Story of Eastern Wonderland. Thanks to flowearmom in the comments for reminding me of this theme.
