Professional connections/networking

I am a new therapist trying to get my name out there. (This is not me soliciting business from this post!!!)

I am going to continue to send my information out the old fashioned way via networking in person. I am fully telehealth but wondering what the NEED is in the community for services? What insurance is most common for people? What places are most likely going to be happy to get my info and not just throw in trash? ✨️

I would love to network with people in person but it can be tedious as I work another job so I am trying to be smart about it too. TIA

As a newbie I sacrifice characters

Idk if this is the “norm” or what but once I realized your character zombifies and it’s not just a total wipe at death I started creating different characters within my same “storyline” based on the TV show “Black Summer” on Netflix — adapted to my needs. This means some characters don’t gaf and brute force their way to clear an area especially once bitten. I find one house in a neighborhood that’s “safe” and load it up.

Before a character dies, I drop everything of substance besides a few “hang on before you die” items like crackers, a few glasses of water, etc. so they can do their suicide mission.

This is really just my way of getting a feel for the game since this is my first non-cosy PC game ever after a 15 year gaming hiatus (and since switching from console to PC). I usually play citybuilder/world builder games or life sims.

I’ve slowly been adding mods and taking them away depending on how buggy/laggy or cumbersome they can be. For example, I loved the concept of the TDDUP but when I realized you literally need to “gift” the needed items I uninstalled it. Maybe just my own misunderstanding of the mod mechanism. So far I LOVE companion dogs. I added a few clothing and weapons mods but it’s so fun given the depth of this community!

Eventually I hope to get into MP but right now I love seeing how far I can get.

Also, this game is like a heavy handed lesson in “don’t get too attached to anything” lol

Switching from Iphone

I have no idea what phone to get. I did browse but I feel overwhelmed with options.

I was considering the OnePlus, Samsung Flip, Nothing Phone.

I have an Iphone 12. I love mobile gaming, taking photos, steaming (music/entertainment), browsing online, etc. all the basic shit we all do. I need to upgrade by EOY because my phone has no storage for apps anymore (even though I’ve deleted), and I need to update my work apps/finance apps but I can’t

I used to have android in line middle school so I know I’ll have a learning curve. My partner suggests the Pixel or Galaxy.

I’m in USA. Budget anything under 1750 - I’ll buy outright.

Recs for beauty services

You all were so helpful last time I asked for recs for doctors since I am new to the area but now I am hoping for some beauty service recs, mainly:

-I am a curly natural on a healthy hair journey so I’d love a stylist that is informed with natural hair (I’m solidly in the 3s with fine but dense hair). Maybe a silk press here and there.

-I am also looking for brow shape, tint, lamination service

*would like to avoid having to leave the area if possible*

I did look online but some places have few reviews or don’t seem to have serviced people with hair like mine or don’t have the service I need. TIA

Hello - I have never adopted a cat but I had them as a kid. There was an orange cat at PetSmart that was a sweetie. How do I check if they are still available for adoption/what is the rescue name? I am new to the area so didn’t check when I was there. I’ve thought about the cat for a few weeks but I’m guessing probably and hopefully adopted. Is the process difficult? TIA.
