Anyone else looking forward to another great season?

I know there is a lot of hate for left-lane campers, but passing this into law seems like a waste of time and money. It will be hard to enforce even if they wanted to.

Just 5 days ago I said it feels like it's time to remove the A/C units for the year. This morning it's in the 40's. Anyone turning on the heat yet? I did yesterday just to take the chill out early in the morning and make sure everything was working for the winter.

EDIT: I find it interesting how many people use the calendar rather than the temperature to decide!

Also, Nor'Easter this weekend is now tracking worse for CT. Worth watching especially if you are prone to flooding and along the shore. There is also a full moon this weekend to make tides higher than normal. Expect some power outages.

Prices are high and we all know why. Not here to debate that. However, the state of CT adds 25 cents/gal plus another 8.9% wholesale tax (essentially a sales tax). Fazio wants to change that to a fixed amount/gal so that the tax revenue does not rise and fall with price so the price hikes are not compounded by higher taxes.

But the better reason I think it makes sense is this. The amount of gas consumed is relatively fixed. Most people don't/can't change how much gas they need. So when prices are high, the state gets a windfall in taxes. If prices suddenly drop for a year or 2, the state gets much less. Wouldn't it be better for everyone if the state knew how much they should expect each year in advance?

I've seen a number of posts recently saying Fazio has good campaign slogans with no real plans behind them. I believe those are just people who plan to vote for Lamont and are not really interested. But in case you are considering a change from Lamont, here are Fazio's plans in more detail. They sound pretty reasonable to me and I'm not sure why Lamont and the Dems in control have not already done some of these things. I especially like the cap on property taxes. This is something CA has been doing for years and helps retired seniors stay in the state rather than being forced to move because their taxes keep increasing.

Why aren't more voters considering this platform? Why is Lamont afraid to debate? Why does CT favor an old wealthy guy from Greenwich?

EDIT: I posted this as information for those that continue to say Fazio has lots of slogans with no plans behind them. If all you want to do is explain why you hate Trump, save your time. This is about who is best to govern CT for the next 4 years and why.

He failed to show up in court for sentencing today and is said the have fled the country to Greece.

A dry start in June turned into the wettest summer on record for parts of the state. That was even before the rains yesterday. Some towns are more than double the normal average especially along the coast in Fairfield County.

Happened to see this. Data for Bpt shows almost double the normal rainfall. Wettest on record. No wonder I was still mowing a dark green lawn every 5 days in August with a good crop of mushrooms.
