I lost a book I had in my tbr which was written for the male demographic I think of a female alpha in college who was bullying an introverted male (omega?). I had around 1k reviews on Goodreads? Pls help!!
Looking for books with mmcs who's main characteristic is being cheeky but are not dark or broody or super masc but also not cinnamon rolls. If I can explain it I mean those mmcs who are usually funny and dramatic and their main thing is being cheeky. If I could name some I would say characters like:
Cardan from Cruel Prince
Rafayel from Love and Deepspace
Flynn from Tangled
Jacks from Once Upon a Broken Heart (though I disliked this book)
Less but possibly in the category of what I mean:
Wendel from Emily Wilde's encyclopedia of fairies
Howl from Howl's moving castle
I read slaying the vampire conqueror by Carissa Broadbent and I found it okay. It was by no means bad but also not something I'd go crazy over.
I really liked that there was no annoying lust getting in the way every two seconds, that it leaned more on plot than romance and that the mmc wasn't some cringe edgelord who is written forcefully "hot".
Now this is my first time reading this author and I heard that the serpent and the wings of night have some cringe dialogue between the mcs. Should I read more from that author? Are her other works better or worse? And any other authors who write similarly to the points I mentioned I liked in this book?
I bought this second hand from a person from Romania (I don't live there) and okay let's ignore that it is cloudy af it just doesn't float at all? I put a 20w bulb because that's the max it says on the inside but it does nothing? I read other posts from the sub with the same problem but I don't think they apply toy case? I don't know how old the lamp is.
I love in a country that's semi western and people are not really as woke as the west. I also dress pretty femininely because I love fashion as a woman so I can't signal it with my appearance. I'm looking for a monster romance that:
centers the romance and relationship of the characters more than sex. Sex should still happen but like not A LOT. Just a normal amount.
The monster is a man who: is SOFT (despite how he looks) and shy/submissive/loner/touch starved/self deprecating/thinks he doesn't deserve good things. Like I need that man BROKEN. Some kind of combination of the above.
The monster has to be a virgin or with very limited sexual experience
The monster should have a humanoid face (like not minotaurs or spiders or skulls)
The girl being gentle with him and brushing his hair or idk hurt comfort them being cute and soft together.
Some monster books I read but weren't exactly what I was looking for: Emma Hamm's mermaid series (although I loved the way the mermen looked the writing style was very generic and irritating for me), ice planet barbarians (nice but too much sex and after awhile all the couples blended together), demon lover (?) or something similar with a succubus but it had again a lot of sex.
This is my dad's old lava lamp since the 80s and the problem is that the wax stays on top. How can I make it mix with the other ingredient? I tried heating the top up with a blow-dryer but it didn't work... Also like the other ingredient still flows up and down without the need for the wax that is remaining on top. (Ignore the clouding my mom shaked it :()
