Birth certificate for wedding registry

Hi, have my birth certificate in Hindi, translated into English (in india on an affidavit) also planning to get it translated here in Ireland. Is that an acceptable enough form? Anyone else who got married using similar certificate have any inputs please?

Thanks.

Lads, do you use a beard softener?

Missus has been complaining for a bit that my beard is too rough and irritates her skin and that I look into getting a beard softener/ balm to help it.

Any recommendations please? Thanks

Yay or nay on cold calling the hiring manager?

Doing full cycle since 2 years, saw a decent role and cold called the HM. She's worked at Salesforce for 6 years, currently head of GTM at fairly nice company and was listed as the hiring manager for the role. She was Business dev manager at salesforce for 4 years before this gig

I did what I keep reading about here and on LinkedIn - show them you can do the job so I cold called her and boy she didn't like it. She was nice about it but said she doesn't like cold calls on her personal number and thanks. I'm like how are you expecting your sales teams to do the job if you can't stand a cold call - didn't even get a shot to pitch myself - all I could get out was I'm not selling you a software, same you're hiring a sales rep to set appointments, I was stopped then and there, where did you get my number from and that was it.

So, folks, tell me if cold calling HM is okay?

I see what a full ride means now - Gianni Infantino’s alleged lover received a pay-out from Uefa of more than £150,000, which included tuition fees for an MBA.

[TheTelegraph] Gianni Infantino’s alleged lover received a pay-out from Uefa of more than £150,000, which included tuition fees for an MBA. The FIFA president allegedly had a relationship with a former colleague while he was general secretary at UEFA, and she was paid off when she left UEFA in 2011.

Do I really need an immigration lawyer for my case?

I'm a doctor in NHS on skilled worker visa - been here for almost 2 years. Met my now fiance who lives and works in Ireland - both of us are non EU citizens. We've been dating since I moved here, he's visited here several times, and I've been there too. Traveled together to multiple places, including a international trip this year and we got engaged in our home country late last year. We plan to get married in Ireland end of this year and then he applies for dependent visa.

In my case, am i better of with an immigration lawyer or is this simple enough that we can do this ourselves? Thanks!

Dreading work every day - keep getting more responsibilities

Forced into a full AE role with zero training, performance is dropping, and I need to survive 2 more months. How do I handle this?

I’ve been at a 20-person startup for 2 years. I started as booking meetings, running discovery, and sitting in on demos. Earlier this year, our Sales Engineer left, and our CEO got pulled into partner deals. Out of nowhere, I was thrown into running full product demos.

Here is the problem: our product sells to finance teams, and it’s a technical sell. I have zero background in finance. I can answer maybe half of the technical questions on a call, which tanks my credibility with prospects. Over the last 4 months, I’ve only closed 1 deal and 1 verbal commit. The rest stalled out, largely because I’m not qualified to demo to this ICP.

Instead of addressing this, management keeps stacking responsibilities on me. I’m currently acting as a cold caller, AE, and SE all at once. To make matters worse, inbound lead generation failed, so they gave me a parallel dialer to double down on cold calling. My Sales Nav was canceled, and my pipeline for next month is at zero. I’m entering my second straight month of zero closes, and the pressure is becoming unbearable.

I’ve brought these issues being a genuine problem to closing.

I know the end is coming, and they’re likely thinking about letting me go. However, due to personal reasons, I need to hold onto this job for at least 2 more months while I look for a new role. I know I’m great at cold calling and discovery—it’s strictly the technical demo piece where I'm underwater.

The CEO and team are generally good people, so I’m thinking of having a direct, honest chat with the CEO to set realistic expectations, push for proper support, or at least buy myself a longer leash.

How do I sort this out? THanks!

Wedding registry Cork

Hey folks, I've been ringing the registry office for the last 2 weeks, nobody ever answers the calls, I'd have dialed around 50 times. I've emailed them as well, they've come back twice and when I ask for an appointment date, been 3 days and no response.

Anyone knows how to get stuff done with them? Just a nightmare to get anything done.

Networking calls via TopMate

What happened to good old days of people genuinely trying to pass on a good deed and help someone without expecting anything in return let alone being paid for it?

Blows my mind all these people linking their TopMate accounts on their LinkedIn and asking people to book their calendars via there so that they pay. I've been here for a few years, networked my ass off and anytime anyone's helped me had no financial interest and just them wanting to pass on what was given to them - advice and help - which I've paid it forward. Spoke to someone today who said they had to do a paid call. I was furious as this guy owns houses here, big car, big insta presence so what's up with the greed! I'm an Indian myself and don't recall seeing this shit anywhere else but us indians and topmate

I know some people may get 50 call requests each week so they want to milk it but if someones genuine and in need of it - someone wanting someone to glance at their CV, learn from your job hunt experiences, or they're admitted to a program you were in, why do you want money in return? I'm sure your job pays you well enough as you've been around a bit so why milk someone who could really do with a bit of help.

Boils my blood. Was this even a thing 5 years ago? Y'all got in, networked your way in by setting up calls for free and you want to be paid for it now?

Rant over.

Lying to be patched to the decision maker

I cold call and when I am looking for John and dont have his direct dial, I go via the office line and often get asked whats it about, does John know and all other sales call qualification questions - I am honest all time time. More often that not, I'm not patched.

Another reseller of our product i spoke to said he lies all the time for those questions - stating so Ive had on and off email contact with John over the last week and he has expressed some interest in our services so I'm just looking to run something by him and he's patched 90% of the time - so basically lying and getting through - his reasoning, the gatekeeper is trying to weed out sales calls and the above just helps getting the call patched.

What do you guys do if you were in my shoes? I really cant digest lying to get in but want to see what's the consensus like - he books twice of what I did last month in a far harsher territory / market which I need to pivot to

How reasonable is the ask from my manager?

Founding meeting booker turned full cycle AE - started booking meetings into my CEO's calendar, he'd do the demo for over a year and now I run them myself. We had a great last year. Now, Day starts with prospecting / list building and cold calling and I'm expected to hit same number of calls as earlier when though I run my own demos and they take a decent time to prep and after demo stuff.

Off late, I'm struggling a bit - target gone up by 80% for a 25% base pay rise and earlier metric was 60calls a day - fine tuned to now decision maker conversaitons of 8 a day - a month later furhter fine tuned to interested decision maker convos - so based on my numbers - I speak to 10 DMs, I will book 1 meeting so to reflect that, boss has taken out DM call but no pitch or interested as a metric.

Product - finance SaaS fairly crowded space, 0 marketing or awareness or even a google page. I pushed back stating there's only so much you can ask the rep to do and its always on the rep to pull this off as opposed to 0 visibility on the brand side.

Are full cycle AE roles like these? Before this, I was only inbound.

Hi All, had 0 issues using my phonepe on my old phone, recently bought a new phone and tried setting it up. I did receive an OTP so I could login to my phone pe account but when I try to link my bank account, it sends a text message to verify to a Indian number. I've an active validity pack of 199rs and also main talk time balance. So it deducted around 15rs or 30rs for the sms, didn't work so I tried again and it failed again despite message getting delivered and me being charged for it.

How to fix this? Anyone was able to set their UPI / link bank UPI from Ireland?

Thanks
