Which broadband connection is the BEST in Whitefield?

Hi folks,

I want to get a broadband connection, and the local team of ACT is already promoting their plans to me. They have already contacted me twice regarding a new connection.

I've previously used Airtel Xtream Fiber, but that was back in my home town. Great service, rarely any hiccups.

I've also used Jio Fiber.

I told the ACT guy that I might go for Airtel or Jio, and he said, they don't have wires in this area (whitefield/borewell road/near nexus mall). Is this true?

New to Bangalore: is this rental agreement normal?

Hi everyone,

I really need some help here.

I’m new to Bangalore and renting a place for the first time here. I’ve finalized a flat and got the rental agreement from the owner/broker, but I’m not fully confident about how these things usually work here. Would really appreciate some guidance.

A few clauses confused me:

>Inspection clause: “The Lessor and his duly authorized agents shall be entitled to inspect the premises at all reasonable hours during the day, subject to prior one week notice, and shall do so only in the presence of the Lessee.”

Is this really something that should be there?

>Repairs clause: “If any repair comes before 1 month owner will take care, after 1 month what the maintenance will come inside the flat tenant should take care itself.”

Does this mean I’m responsible for everything after 1 month, including appliances like fridge, washing machine, geyser etc.? Or is this usually interpreted as only minor repairs?

>SECURITY DEPOSIT AND REFUND: The Lessee has paid a sum of INR XX,000 (XX thousand rupees only) as interest free security deposit, and XX,000 (XX Thousand only) refundable while vacating, which takes care of cleaning, painting, and depreciation of furnishings.

Deposit structure: I’m paying 2 months deposit as the brokers have told me.

Notice and duration: Agreement says duration is 11 months, but also says either party can terminate with 1 month notice.

So realistically, can I vacate anytime by giving 1 month notice, or is there an expectation to stay for the full 11 months?

Charges: It says maintenance is included in rent, but also mentions I have to pay electricity, water, and association-related charges.

Is this normal wording? Should I expect anything extra beyond electricity?

Broker situation: I actually found the property myself, but apparently the flat is managed by a broker/company so I still have to pay 1 month brokerage.

Is this normal here, even if I didn’t really use the broker to find the place? Any way people generally handle this?

General question: Are there any common redflags in rental agreements that first-time tenants usually miss?

Please help this brother out. I'm kinda scared because I've never rented out a property like this before.

Need recommendations for the best LPG gas agency in Whitefield

Hi,

I'm looking to get a new gas connection, but I'm unsure which agency to go with. Agency operators can be very rude and unprofessional from what I've come to know.

Please help me out, thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m a 22M based near ITPL. I already know how to ride a scooter and drive a car, but I want to properly learn how to ride a bike.

Looking for:

  • Good driving schools around Whitefield / ITPL, or
  • Someone experienced and passionate about bikes who can teach me

I want to learn the right techniques, tips and tricks, road discipline, and safe riding habits, not just the basics

I’m willing to pay for lessons, just looking for someone who can help me become a confident and responsible rider.

Any leads or recommendations would really help. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I am looking for 1 BHK/studio 1 RKs to move into. I found a listing in Providence Capella, Soukya Road, WFD. The room looks really nice. I was so happy to have found a flat exactly as per my expectations until I came across Google reviews.

There are many negative reviews. People have complained about various things, out of which, the ones that stood out the most to me were:

- The water supply is basically tanker supply. 20-30 tankers are brought daily.

- No BESCOM connection yet. Electricity bill can vary a lot.

- No e-commerce reach.

- Nearest metro station is 7 KM away

Please help me.
