Fanatics and DRW are teasing a new "Hometown Remix" line of apparel...

>All 32 NHL teams will feature a new look this season – special edition uniforms that uniquely and authentically celebrate the fans, city, and local culture of each team.

>The NHL and Fanatics announced on Wednesday that the 2026-27 NHL season will introduce Hometown Remix, the first 32-team special edition uniform, apparel and headwear program designed and developed by Fanatics since becoming the League's authentic on-ice uniform outfitter in 2024.

I swear if it's another bullshit throwaway play on the "Motor City/Car Muffler/Tailpipes/Rah Rah Cars!" crap, I'll lose my mind. While I have little faith in Fanatics and the NHL to do anything interesting, creative, or in touch with the fans, I'll remain hopeful that this turns into something more than topically relevant about the city or state.

What do you all think this will look like for Detroit? Personally I'd love something musically oriented. There's such a huge musical history here with Motown, electronic music, hard rock, and hip hop over the years, there could be a neat musical play. I highly doubt that's it, but just thinking outside of the "we made cars" thing for a minute.

How do you want Detroit to be known?

What preferences have changes for you over time?

I was just thinking about how I used to live on my V60, absolutely live it. Didn't really matter the coffee, I just always came to the v60. But in recent times I reach for my ceramic Wave (185) at least 4 out of 5 cups.

Also see a lot of people on the hand grinder circuit these days whereas years back it was so much more heavily balanced toward single dose electric grinders. Granted the market and coffee tech have evolved, but still.

We've also had the SP9's and more recently the xBloom, not to mention the mokkamaster as a stalwart, and some are almost going full circle back to basically just fancy 'ol coffee machines (granted to the nth degree here).

Y'all had any notable evolutions in preferences over time, perhaps even coming back full circle to something you left? Just curious as I'm always trying to keep perspective on what's out there and how people are re-thinking their coffee.

Smartplug/outlet "Delay" Question

Hey folks - couldn't find an answer in search so appealing to the sub. Basically, I'm trying to find a way to "bypass" an outlet's schedule for, say 24hrs. Is there a way to do this, and have the schedule automatically return to its prior state thereafter?

I have my outlets setup to power a couple of irrigation valves. They go on a couple of times per day for a couple minutes at a time. It's multiple outlets for multiple zones, and they already have a slightly different schedule.

Sometimes it rains and I want to delay the schedule and have the schedule automatically go back into effect thereafter.

But since I have several different outlets with on and off schedules multiple times per day, disabling them manually is tedious (it's like 20+ taps) and then I have to remember to do it again several hours later after the period I was to disable is over but before the next day starts. It's annoying.

So I'd love to have a simple way to say "disregard your schedule for 24 hours." Any ideas? Ive tried to mess with some automations but I can't get the delay to work the way I'd like. TIA.

E: specifically, I'm using P306 smart plugs. And the shortcut/automation delay only lets me delay for like 3hrs..so it could help a bit in certain situations, but doesn't really do the job I'm looking for.

Cold Brew Question for Pourover Peeps

I've got some beans I don't like (they're high quality and extremely light roasted but just not my thing). However, I could imagine them being good in a cold brew or even just cold/iced coffee setup with some milk.

My question is, how do you all recommend I approach a cold brew or supply iced approach with my typical pourover equipment? I have a Mahlkonig x54 so I can grind a wide range, but only a V60 (03 size) and kalita 185 to work with. I've also got a 1L French press if needed.

I've looked up some options but figured I'd ask this community in case y'all have experimented with methods I'm not aware of using some typical pourover equipment. I'd like to try something new with these beans and get use out of them, but I don't have traditional cold brew equipment and only have around 125g of the beans to tinker with.

Thanks!

Scott Wheeler's Winners and Losers from the 2026 NHL Draft. [Creating a new post for gift article in full for all to read]

Hey all, Scott Wheeler posted his summary review of the draft.

In short, he has five categories basically being home run, above average, average, below average, and bad.

Wheeler has the Wings in the above average (aka "Overtime Winners") category based on who they picked and where.

Feel free to have a read across the board.

Here's the article in full

Mods, this shouldn't be a paywalled article, as I'm using a gift link so that everybody can read the article in full. Hopefully it's okay to post even though The Athletic content is usually limited to two paragraphs

Anyone know a way to track the Pride Train? Does it have a consistent run number, for example?

Title. Want some photo opportunities. Thanks!
