AITA for having another secret bank account that has almost one million dollars in it and not telling my husband?
I grew up in a poverty household as a kid, once I got an high-paying job making above average, I decided to make another account that is “just in case.” Savings if something goes wrong and I have to return to poverty, I can use that money to get me by. I began putting money in this account way before meeting him and eventually, he found out about it.
He wasn’t happy about it because he was in debt from medical school and thought I was a bitch for keeping this money a secret after seven years of our marriage.
Am I the asshole?
