What brand does everyone recommend for kitchen appliances? We are about to start building a new home and are thinking ahead about what appliances we want. We would like them all to be the same brand if possible. Looking for fridge, range/oven, dishwasher, and microwave. My last house was a track home that came with all whirlpool kitchen appliances which were mostly problem free other than the range/oven. It had a pinched wire from the factory that would trip the breaker and sometimes shoot sparks from the oven exhaust, until it finally killed the burner it was wired to. It was fixed under warranty thankfully and no other issues since.
Delete if not allowed. Wife and I are building a house and want to plant wildflowers in the field that will be behind our house. The box is roughly where the house will be at the top of a hill and the yellow is where we want to plant. Its a fairly steep hill that levels out some towards the bottom so we dont care to use it as part of our “main yard”. My question is what would be the best way to prep a space this large ao we get the best results? I don’t have access to very heavy machinery and not sure Im committed enough right now to do it all manually lol.
The rest of the lawn Im undecided on. Im more the “if its green its grass” type but I do want to be able to keep it short enough for my kid to play in and what not. Im open to suggestions for native options that give a similar feel tp traditional turf grass.
Im in Upstate SC, USA
In the planning and permitting stages of a house we are having built and wanted some opinions on running ethernet. My main question is what location is best for the modem and all the runs to start from? My internet options at the location are limited to spectrum and ATT 5g home internet so I will probably go with spectrum. This means wherever the modem sits needs to have coax.
My thinking as someone who’s never done this before is Id need 1 coax run (hopefully in a closet out of the way or something), the modem connected to power and coax, router connected to modem, an ethernet switch connected to the router, and then all the ethernets for the rooms connected to the switch.
Does this sound like the right way to do what Im thinking? I just want to be able to effectively explain to the builder what I want and have them take care of running the wires and stuff.
Wife and I are moving out and will be storing washer and drier while our new house is built. Its a whirlpool top load, and even after running a few spin/drain cycles I still hear water swishing inside while moving it around. After some research it seems this is the balance ring possibly. My question is is it safe to store it with water still in there and if not how do I completely drain it?
Building in upstate SC and signing paperwork to start building soon. One form mentions attorney/hazard insurance preference. I know this is just them saying I have the option to choose my own but do I have to have hazard insurance on a home while its bein built? My buiilder carries the builders insurance per the contract. Hazard insurance is what I need once the house is complete correct? Like included in a regular homeowners insurance policy?
