Cheap options?

Any good cheap suppressor options out there for .22, 9mm, or 5.56?

Now that suppressors are “free reign”, I’m wanting to get some but not looking to spend a bunch since I don’t shoot much.

Would homemade solvent trap type setups be a better cheap option for a low volume shooter?

LCP 2 .380 constantly jamming

I bought a LCP 2 back 6-7 years ago and just started shouting it recently. I’ve put probably 100 rounds through it and I loaned it to my buddy who put another 100 through it and we both had the same issue.

it would jam (FTE) every 2-4 rounds of both FMJ and HP. I’m not limp wristing (I used to own a LCP original version and it ran fine, and I shoot glocks all the time that never jam).

Anything I can do to fix it. I’m thinking about selling it and just getting a S&W Bodyguard 2.0 or something to pocket carry instead.

Houston business directory

Nothing against Angi or Thumbtack, but they're lead brokers, not directories.

You pay per lead, you compete with three other guys for the same call, and the homeowner gets

spammed.

And don't get me started with Yelp...it's the directory mafia.

I wanted something simpler for Houston. Just a list of who's actually here and active.

Free to be listed for local businesses if you serve the Houston area.

Comment if you want on it.

A2P Wizard....not free anymore

So it looks like a2pwizard.com unfortunately is no longer free (beyond like the first 1 or two submissions). Is it just me, or are y'all seeing the same thing?

is anyone else just completely exhausted by the online reviews game?

I need a quick sanity check bc I feel like im losing my mind here.

We do solid work, our customers are always super happy at the end of a job, and they constantly tell us how great everything looks. But our actual revieww count makes us look like we barely scrape by or literally just started last week.

Ive tried all the generic advice people always give. asking nicely before we pack up, handing out a card with a qr code, sending a polite text a few days later.

Every single time, its the exact same thing: "Oh yeah, totally, ill do that tonight!" And then...nada.

It feels like if they don't do it within a 30-second window of us leaving, the odds drop to zero bc they just get back to their busy lives. Meanwhile, the only people who never forget to leave a review are the rare nightmare clients who want to complain about something super petty.

Am I the only one dealing with this massive gap between having a ton of great customers and actually getting the public credit for it on google? It honestly feels like a losing battle and its driving me crazy.

what are you doing to get more Google reviews?

do you have a system or is it just randomly taking what comes?

what percentage of your customers leave reviews?

Database Reactivation

how do we effectively run a database deactivation text campaign in USA if a business didn’t have “text opt-in” language on their lead submission form when they signed up 8 months ago?

is it true that really the only legal way to text them is to first try to send them emails getting their fresh consent? that seems like an insane hoop to jump through for someone who explicitly signed up as a lead

I've heard cold texting and cold voicemail drops are illegal...?

is that true?

I'm wanting to add cold-texting and vm drops (to businesses listed on Google Business Profile), but the "counsel" i get from Gemini is that it's a great way to get sued into oblivion by law firms trying to bait people.

How accurate is all that? Is texting and vm drops dead for cold outreach?

Following up with old leads

How do you currently go about following on old leads?

Do you have a process or do you mostly just focus on fresh leads for a few days?

Is there a threshold you have where you stop following up?

I’ve figured out a simple way to turn a good amount of old leads into booked appointments for my company but I’m not sure if I was just unusually crappy at follow up before, or if this is a universal problem.

Curious to know your experience.

A2P & Onboarding

When onboarding clients and purchasing them a new local number, we're having to use Persona to ID check. Do you just forward that Persona link to the contact person at the company and they do the ID check themselves on behalf of the company? What's the best procedure there?
