Thoughts on DCCU's Aquaman (2011)
People have this movie in their bottom spots when talking about their favourite DCCU movie. But honestly-it's not that bad. Much better than Aquaman: Deep Waters and honestly on the level of the third Aquaman movie.
We are introduced to the kingdom of Atlantis, where Aquaman is ready to become a king like his father Tom Curry. But he gets to cocky and his mother Atlanna throws his trident on dry land and he is forced to go get it.
He jumps to Arctica where he meets an Inuit Kako. They fell in love but Aquaman also realizes that he is unable to pick up the Trident. Meanwhile his evil brother Ocean Master allies with the enemies to become the king of Atlantis after he find out that he's actually not Atlantian. Ocean master also sends a goon to kill Aquaman. Aquaman's friends come to the Arctic and tell him what is Ocean master cooking but they get jumped by the goon. Aquaman helps them without his trident and becomes able to pick it up. They defeat the goon and go to Atlantis and defeat Ocean master which fall in deepest parts of the ocean.
Atlantian connection to land is destroyed in the process so Aquaman is sad because he can't see Kako again, who is currently trying to find a way to the Atlantis.
In the post credit scene Ocean master is very alive and on dry land. He watches as Earth scientists research item that appears to be the Mother box.
My thoughts: above mid but not absolute cinema.
OOC: It was very hard to find Aquaman counterparts because the're so different. Sorry for bad editing.
Edit: OOC: Heimdall is Nuidis Vulko
