Termites or winged ants??

Unfortunately, these guys have cropped up in my apartment (Southern California, USA). Second pic is the bug belly-up so you can more clearly see the abdomen. Gonna get it checked out, but hoping they’re not termites!

Thanks in advance!!!

Almost daily low grade fever following a virus

I (26F) caught a virus from work 2 weeks ago. I woke up with a sore throat but felt mostly okay otherwise. After 3 days, the sore throat went away, but I noticed that I felt fatigued and run down. The fatigue doesn’t make me fall asleep quickly, I just feel heavy and run down, and need to lie down for a while. My temperature was about 100.7 F.

For the next few days, the fatigue and low grade fever (around 99.5) persisted, and my head began to feel heavy & brain foggy, and I felt some sinus pressure. I went to a low cost clinic (my health insurance start date is June 1st so I’m currently uninsured) and was prescribed Augmentin antibiotic for a possible sinus infection.

Since then, my sinuses have slowly improved and the fatigue improved a bit as well. My temperature seemed to be down for a couple days too. I was feeling optimistic until yesterday. I went to work, felt pretty good, and then after getting home, eating, and showering, I once again felt that heavy fatigue, and my temperature was at 99.5. I’ve been feeling the heaviness and fatigue along with the elevated temperature all day today. Today marks 2 week since I woke up with the sore throat, and I’m almost finished with the Augmentin. I also haven’t had an appetite in this time, but I’ve been drinking those emergen-c immune packets (vitamin C, D, and zinc) and trying to eat well and stay very hydrated.

Usually, I bounce back quickly after illnesses, so I’m beginning to feel helpless. I have an appointment with a primary care doctor for a week and a half from now, when my insurance begins. I never tested for COVID in this time. Any insights or advice would be appreciated!
