Wrist injury after starting to learn drums

When I first started learning I obviously didn’t have good technique and my wrist started playing up. I’d play for a couple hours straight and I think I just overdid it.
I wanted to learn for YEARS and I absolutely love it.

I’ve barely played for the last couple months and it hasn’t really gotten any better. I’ve tried playing just 5-10 minutes every now and then so I can practice but I honestly think I have to just stop playing for who knows how long until my wrist heals and hopefully it does????

At this stage I can’t put any weight on my wrist when it is bent back. Like pushing myself off a chair etc.

I’ve had an X-ray and an ultrasound on my wrist which they said showed nothing. So I don’t really know what’s causing the pain since there’s no visible injury.

Has anyone experienced similar and has a positive ending where they could get back to playing drums?

Should I find a new GP?

I mentioned to my doctor that in 2023 I was referred to a gastroenterology clinic (for bowel issues, nausea, and blood in stool) and I have finally heard back that my appointment is in October.
Last week I had more blood, quite a bit so I asked if it’ll be okay to wait until my appointment to look into it. She said if I’m still here now after all these years then it’s not cancer. Thing is, I know that’s probably true but then again there’s some people who have symptoms for years before getting a diagnosis.

Also, I’ve had bad wrist pain for a few months when putting any weight on it, and so I asked what to do because it’s quite annoying and stops me from doing some things. She said it’s probably just a sprain and use voltaren on it, use a brace, and don’t do things that aggravate it.
Then I mentioned because it’s been 3 months, it’s quite frustrating.
Then she said “Because I’m lazy I didn’t want to send you for xray but 3 months is the cut off for going to see about an xray”…. So she admitted she’s lazy and the only reason I got a referral was because I kept talking about it.

I am not asking for medical advice. Just advice on whether another GP might be better.

Day 4 of flossing every night

I dare say I’m not the only one that has never had a good flossing routine, when brushing teeth is a whole effort in itself… but I’m seriously hoping this sticks.
I’m finding it’s quite satisfying, so treating it like a dopamine hit 😂
Hoping if I post about it I’ll stay accountable.

But so far I’m pretty happy with my 4 days in a row.

Unpaid training prior to contract commencement date

Couple weeks ago I attended an interview and was told I was preferred candidate. They asked me to come in for a trial the following week which was all observational, they were just showing me what would be required and their systems.
I’ve also been asked to come in for a training session tomorrow which I agreed to.
My contract has now been sent through and my commencement date isn’t for a couple weeks.

Is it weird that they want to start training me before commencement? And should this actually be paid?

I don’t want to bring it up in the email if I don’t have to but seems strange to me.

Medical receptionist position

Edit: Not sure why I’m getting downvoted for asking a question 😂

Tradies (specifically caulkers) - Experience with applying for registered supervisor license

Has anyone recently applied to become a registered supervisor (with their contractors license as well)?
Specifically caulking if possible.

How difficult was the process?

How did you go about filling the “work history and on site experience record”?

Is this too short for a prologue?

So after some constructive criticism on my last post I have completely restarted my novel. This is a first draft so still work to be done obviously.
But is it too short for a prologue and is the “hook” engaging enough?

Okay, I’m back. Am I getting any closer?

I really appreciate the feedback. Let me know if this has improved at all from my last post.

Is this engaging at all?

I’m after constructive criticism. Is this engaging enough to be the beginning of a novel? Would you read on?

Edit: Apologies for the typos.

Is this prescription pointless?

I had an eye test yesterday and was told there is nothing wrong with my eyesight but my eye muscles struggle to work together to focus forward or something like that.
I explained when I’m reading/studying my eyes struggle to focus on the words making them seem blurry.
It feels similar to when I’m about to get a migraine so that’s why I got an eye test because I wasn’t sure if it was related to eyes or migraines or what.

Anyway this is my prescription and I just have a feeling I’m wasting money if I don’t actually need the glasses and it’s something else causing the blurry vision.

Do glasses actually help with convergence insufficiency?

So I’m not 100% sure if this is actually the diagnosis.
Basically I’ve been having trouble focusing my vision when reading on my phone or things close by.
I had an eye test today and she said my vision is perfect but my eye muscles are struggling to focus forward together…or something? Like they naturally want to go outwards instead? (Although not noticeable when looking at me)
She said I can try glasses and see if it helps and so I got some ordered but now I’m kind of concerned she’s just suggested it to make some money from me and that I actually don’t need them or that they won’t help.

So do glasses help with the eye muscles not working together properly?

Can I wash my self tan off earlier than the 6 hours?

Hey so I never self tan but I’ve just applied Bondi sands light/medium foam which says “ For a longer lasting darker tan leave from on skin for up to six hours.
I’m not really interested in a darker tan I just want a bit of colour so could I wash it off after like 3 hours instead?
